Bos trades: Rondo, O’Neal (expiring), 1st round pick
Bos receives: Cousins, Thompson, Harris

Utah trades: Millsap, Harris, 1st round pick
Utah receives: Rondo

Sac trades: Cousins, Thompson (expiring)
Sac receives: Millsap, O’Neal, Bos and Utah 1st round picks

C’s get young star big on rookie deal, frontcourt depth.  Utah gets franchise PG, more playing time for Kanter, Favors duo.  Sacramento gets draft picks and replacement in production for Cousins.

Here's your first TP for a good try with your post.

Not bad for Boston and Jazz but don't think Sactown does this.

Giving up two big bigs for a 6'8" PF and picks is not something that I think that they do. Will those picks turn out better than either Thompson or Cousins? That's the question they ask.

I like it, although I have to agree with csfan that Sactown might not pull the trigger on this one.

Not only does Sacramento decline this, but in this hypothetical situation, it becomes a blessing in disguise for Boston. Cousins is more than worth that package, but is someone that might not be good to acquire. He fouls waaaaay too much.

I think this is apretty good trade but it depends on what picks. Picks are power this year. Utah has one from the Warriors as well as their own. They have 2 lottery pick right now(hmm package them to trade up?).

Boston currently has the 15th or 16th pick(i believe we are tied with Portland) and also the 24th pick. So it depends which ones are being offered.

Cousins is a hacker for sure, but he's never had much of a coach and or leader like KG since he's been in the pros. I think that can be worked around for sure.  In today's NBA, I'll take a foul prone, 20 year old 7 footer putting up 16 and 11 over a PG who can't consistently knock down open jumpers or free throws several more years into his career.

First off, thanks for the TP.

What if the trade is Jefferson plus Utah and C's first rounder.  This gives Sacramento Evans, Jimmer, Big Al and 3 first rounders, two of which probably being in the top 10.  Plus, taking on Al's contract keeps them above the salary floor should they want to amnesty Salmons or Garcia.  Both are terrible players on even worse contracts.

That could work for Sactown. Jazz get their veteran leader point guard, and I like the two bigs and Harris (expiring in '13) for us. I make the pick we give them the lessesr value of ours/Clippers.

Nice adjustment.

Sacramento would be insane to trade Cousins right now.

He is already putting up monster numbers, and they have control of his contract for a longggg time. Why trade him now when you can trade him 5 years from now when he's one of the top 5 bigs in the entire league?

My god. Why the F would you guys want Cousins and Harris...?

And trading Rondo for these losers? Wow.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Cousins is having an amazing season, and is growing to be a dominant big man. He's been very consistent and could be an all star in the future. He just had a 26-15 game, I believe.

If we could get Harris and Cousins for Rondo, I would gladly pull the trigger.

TP, good adjustment. Sac would be really good in this scenario, Rondo gets in a Jazz team in need of a point, and we get a future top 5 center in Cousins.

Right, because Cousins has those qualities it takes to win, right? Cancer.
