The New Houston Rockets

PG: Jose Calderon
SG: Mike Dunleavy (Quieltly have a pretty good year)
SF: Carmelo
PF: Kenyton Martin
C:  Big Al Jefferson

PF/C Ed Davis

Probably a playoff team, but I'd amend that 'probably' to a certitude if you can replace Kenyon Martin with Samuel Dalembert.

I'm saying this while wearing my Ed Davis superfan button on, but I like Ed Davis starting. I think his quickness and speed helps with Al Jefferson.

Even if K-Mart was dunking like he was still a Bearcat last night.

I think Ed Davis is quickly becoming one of the most overrated players in the NBA.  (In our fantasy keeper league, we saw somebody trade Blake Griffin for Ed Davis + a top-five pick.)  We're talking about a guy who is putting up 6 and 6 this year.  He had a lot of hype coming out of school, but has he done anything to warrant it, other than regressing from a solid-but-not-spectacular rookie season?
Yeah, I think so too. An intriguing but over-valued talent.

Needs to show more on his man-to-man defense (getting bullied too frequently) and needs to add a jump-shot offensively (where he is a also liability all too frequently).

I understand that approach, but isn't that what most people were saying the Knicks strategy was?  "Who can keep up with Carmelo and Amare"?  However, the players basically broke the offense due to their own flaws.  I'll be curious to see if your team does any better.

I'd argue that while he's a significantly less talented player, Al Jefferson is a better compliment to Melo than Amare is.

Eh, I disagree. They're both black holes.

My bad. His name wasn't crossed off, and I must've skipped over him when looking through the lists. I'll make a pick in a minute then.

Though one black hole operates primarily on the block.
