Averaging 13.4pts/9.5asts/4.5rbs with a FG% of .506 and PER of 19 is considered a "disappointment"?
Note: For all those who still say 'Rondo is our key for rebuilding,' did you not see the Lakers game? How much evidence do you want?
I don't know, more than a one game sample size?
Did you not see the 2010 Finals? How much evidence do you want?
Yes, I did. I also saw the 2009 first round playoffs, 2009 EC semi-finals, 2010 first round playoffs, 2010 EC semi-finals, 2011 first round playoffs, ect., where Rondo was a significant contributor and arguably our best player on the team.
And can you honestly say that he's improved since 2009?
And by your account, since 2010 you have a 50/50 chance he'll be a star or goat for a series.
Good Rondo...
2010 1st Rd
2010 2nd Rd
2011 1st Rd
Bad Rondo...
2010 ECF
2010 Finals
2011 2nd Rd
I'm a C's fan above all else and wish Rondo had flourished into a Rose type of player. However, he simply never has and I don't think it's a bad thing to acknowledge that, or the shortcomings that hurt our halfcourt offense.
