Paul Pierce - second-leading scorer in Celtics' history

Paul Pierce (21,731) needs 61 more points to surpass Larry Bird (21,791) and become a second-leading scorer in Celtics' history.

He is averaging little under 18 points this season, so that means that he'll need 4 more games to reach that mark.

Coincidence or not, just like when Ray Allen surpassed Reggie Miller's 3-point field goal record, it will happen when Lakers come to town.

Even without this accomplishment he will be remembered as one of the greatest Celtics of all time, but to surpass someone like Bird is pretty special.

Can't wait for that game, history in making.
