My dream scenario is a repeat of 2009-10 playoffs - except THIS time we close the deal.

Same Finals opponent (from 09-10), everything - except THIS time we finish it.

No trades.

Let this current Big Three ride off into the sunset in Green.

If we don't get a starting center and some help, this team is an early exit from the playoffs.  Plain and simple.  I could say my dream is for this ragtag group of elderlies to upset the Bulls and Heat, but I'd be kidding myself.

Stand pat and win it:  Insane dream scenario
Trade for Dwight Howard this year and win it:  Unrealistic dream scenario

Realistic dream scenario (for this year):  Chris Kaman gets bought out and joins the Celtics.  Somehow we land another key role player inexplicably (WIlson Chandler or Kirilenko coming back to the US before the end of the season, for example)... and we stand a decent chance as pulling off a MASSIVE upset.

If that's not a possibility, my dream scenario involves blowing this team up ASAP.  Pierce to Indiana for Paul George, cap space and multiple 1st rounders (it's a dream).   Ray to Utah for one of their young prospects (Kanter) and a 1st (it's a dream)...

Then tank the rest of the season... win the lotto... head into the season with some 41 mil in cap space, Rondo, Paul George, Kanter, the #1 pick, 3 other 1st rounders and a bright future.   In this dream, being that we have 41 mil in cap space (enough for two legitimate max contracts), Dwight and Deron decide to join forces in Boston... Ainge sells Rondo to the highest bidder (Josh Smith and a future 1st bare minimum, but since it's my dream I'm going to say Steph Curry... shedding 8 mil in salary in the process that Golden State swallows with their cap space)... and our team next year looks like this:

PG - Deron
SG - Steph Curry (playing his natural position... shooting lights out.. becomes a superstar)
SF - Paul George (reaches his "phenom" potential)
PF - Anthony Davis (#1 pick ... becomes a transcendent PF)
C - Dwight
- Enes Kanter off the bench (becomes a superstar)
three more 1st rounders (Clippers, Indiana's from the Pierce Trade, Utah's from the Ray trade) that we can either combine or utilize to fill our bench
-Avery Bradley
-JaJuan JOhnson
... then with the additional 8 mil in salary space that we get from trading Rondo for Curry and the additional 5 mil in cap space after signing Dwight to 18 mil each (max deals... sign and trades where Nets/Magic get trade exceptions) I utilize the remaining 13 million to do the following:
Jeff Green:  5 mil
Brandon Bass: 5 mil
Greg Oden: 3 mil (for giggles)

... and inexplicably KG and Ray both re-sign for the vet min to be mentors off the bench.  Indiana suffers career-ending injuries to David West and Danny Granger... seeing they are doomed they buy out the remainder of Pierce's contract.  He comes back to Boston and signs for the vet min also. Celtics win 15 years in a row.

Beat that dream scenario, suckers.  Unless it involves reverse-aging Larry Bird and Bill Russell with stem cells... I win.
