The Celtics are interested in Chris Kaman, but aren't likely to acquire him unless his contract is bought out.
Kaman is making a pro-rated $14 million salary this season, but the Celtics can only offer him the veterans' minimum. New Orleans isn't expected to buy out his contract unless they can't find any suitable offers, so don't expect to see him in Boston. Jan. 29 - 9:08 am et

Looks like we will have to look elsewhere for another C. I wouldn't give up any good trade assets for him because we could just sign him as an UFA next year if we don't land Howard.

Definitely worth pursuing if he is bought out. I'm glad they aren't trying to trade for him. Kaman, as a scoring center, has massively inflated value this season, so we would have to give up way too much to get him. Nice patience on Danny's part.

Definitely worth pursuing. I would love to have Kaman and Wilcox as our main centers and maybe look to trade JO for something in return.

of course theyt're willing to trade for him. the problem is they can't match his contract fairly. Unless the C's wait after feb 12

I just don't like Kaman at all and dont think he can get back to his old level.

Why not make a move for Hibbert if the pacers don't give him his extension.
