easy flowing offence

becuase of ray & rondo our playbook is soo complex & it takes the whole shot clock & somtimes forces us to take desperate shots

i dont think dat happened as much today pierce & KG thrives in a freelance offence kinda reminded me alot of what dallas does

You've got a point there.

Perhaps we should do less playbook stuff in general; it would also make us less predictable!

A combination, for sure, but Bradley set the pace from the get-go, and didn't allow the Magic enough time to get into their offensive sets ... hence their shots were rushed and they turned the ball over.

His defensive pressure was contagious, and the C's played as cohesive unit at both ends.

Bass was his consistent self, (the sixth star to this point, IMHO), Pierce was attacking the basket, KG was great at the five, Jermaine was physical with Dwight, Marquis was aggressive and had some sweet assists, Moore did a nice job off the bench, and the rotations were fairly well-defined and effective.

Can you imagine if we had actually shot well in the first half? It would've been an even bigger blowout.

If this team continues to play defense and push the ball like they did tonight, we'll have an above-five-hundred record in no time.

  • Rondo = Good
The Magic shot like -15% from the floor.  Defense / Magic stinking have to be the answers, although Pierce, KG, Bass, and Avery all put in good performances.

That was Celtic defense right there.  We need to build on this.  Avery Bradley and Sasha Pavlovic brought ridiculous energy right from the get go.  I'm really proud of those two guys.  The same goes for JO who had a subpar boxscore but a great game.

It was nice to see CelticsBlog's favorite whipping boys really step it up in the absence of our starting back court.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Good point. Didn't think of it that way.

I think Doc is still stuck in 2008 when it comes to running the team. His insistence on leaning heavily on the big 4 and running tricky plays worked when there was legs under the talent. I think Doc's ability to adapt would make or break us.

I have seen ray run off so many screens my eyes hurt.  I don't understand why doc uses it so much.  Doc has our fastest player Rondo stand still and watch our oldest player run around screens, usually ending up with ray with the ball with a defender and 7 secs left on shot clock...  where is the creativity and team work.  throw out the playbook doc!  remember when we cut the playbook in half literally the day before the playoffs started.  throw it away all together and lets play ball.
