Having just comented on two trades one being kg for R Lewis + pick and the other being ray for wesly johnson. I had a thought about our style going into the rebuild. While loading up on assets to build a championship team we could adopt phoenix suns/dantoni style offence. With Rondo pushing the ball at least it will leave fans entertained and free agents will see a fun playing atmosphere. Then when a playoff team is put together doc and rondo will have to slow it back down and transition to true championsip style basketball (aka slower paced and better D)

Rondo,Avery,Moore
ROOKIE (Rivers/Lamb?),Avery
Pierce, W Johnson
R Lewis, J Green,JJJ
Bass,(Rookie Tyler Zeller?) Steimsma

push the pace and lose alot of high scoring games. Rondo will lead the league in assists and we will be exciting to watch. Pierce gets to end his Celtics career putting up big numbers.

I'm starting to resent Avery after giving him a chance for a year and a half. However you might be onto something. Commenting on Rivers' fit on this team is pointless, but WJ on 3 and Bass on 5... That's bad, tho. Once again, remember Rashard's days in Orlando and forget about him. We should get some Turkish C as they seem to be invading the NBA (or Yi, somehow, make some deal with whoever he played for).
Stiemsma is incredible, he's a starter material already. Also, Keyon should be a 1st PG sub, so.. Rondo, Rivers, Pierce, Bass, Stiemsma - sounds like a team that could do a lot of damage. Stiemsma and Bass can make a lot of space for Rivers and Rondo to rebound.

Stiemsma is starter material if we want to push forward the "tank the season" movement.
Yup

Well yeah, this thread is about that, innit?
