I found this on youtube. It's Westbrook, staring down a Celtics towel boy then purposefully bumping him out of the way.....

*warning* inappropriate language being used by the uploader

http://youtu.be/n7yh__peBSE

Just stupidly unnecessary

For sure! I'm not again players celebrating big plays, like he was when he kept hitting those freaking 3's....but he was dead eyes staring the court side fans.....

  • It's all about the TEAM!
LOL! I thought the uploader was dead on!

Westbrook was acting like a villain gangster out there when he beat us and was acting pretty cocky after hitting those enormous 3's. But, I thought he was entitled to that.

But this move with the ball boy is pure wimpy. What's the ball boy going to do? If he does anything in retaliation he's probably fired. And you know, its pretty bad if fans do anything to the players like throw things onto the court or anything like that. I think doing this kind of stuff to fans and team staff and building personnel is just as offensive, if not more. I mean this was unprovoked. It was pure punk.

I think stuff like this deserves heavy fines or even a 1 game suspension. And personally I think the ball boy should have went off even though that likely would have been his job.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I remember seeing that happen live and thinking, what a POS.

Westbrook and younger players just get that extra bit fired up when they go to a place like the Garden.
Seeing the Celtics dominate for the past few years is something they all want a piece of, and it's actually deep down a sign of respect- they really want to beat up on the C's for beating them so badly these past few years.

Remember that respect comes from admiration or fear.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

This is part of the reason why I think guys should spend a year in the D-league. Get humbled a bit.

Or if they get caught on camera treating people like this they should get a fine. Theres no reason for this. I'd love to see a ball boy or towel boy bring their warm ups to them on the bench and then scatter it around the floor so they have to pick it up them selves.

Westbrook is without question a punk...
Durant is however not at all, maybe they need a little edgyness from somewhere even though bumping a towel boy like that is weak

the thunder have won games against us the past 3 seasons and made it further than us last year in the playoffs....
the only time we dominated was 2007.... 4 years ago now.
Westbrook plays like that every night and also has a rivalry with rondo imo

Seriously, people are worked up about this?

I read the entire thread BEFORE watching the video, and I was honestly expecting him to have shoved the towel boy or something. He barely bumps him.

Come on people, get over yourselves. I don't like Westbrook, I think he is a punk with an attitude problem, but this is ridiculous.

It's not ridiculous at all.
He CLEARLY goes after the towel kid..are you kidding me?
He hip/shoulders the towel boy outta the way like he's a dog or something.

I don't have a problem with Westbrook actually, but this is clearly an intentional punk move- Not as bad as Lebrons (who I also don't have a problem with), but a punk move nonetheless.
