Perhaps they brought in Mickeal Pietrus to replace him. He needs his minutes reduced.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

I think he  PP was out of shape the first games he came back, but he played pretty good and had a dunk.

He is now re hurt something, and its totally wrecking his game.  He might as well sit and get better for next year.

Definitely needs to sit. Hope it is something they can work through; but looks pretty bad out there right now.

HIGHLY doubt it besides the lack of elevation nd lack of rebounding (today's game) he's missed a lot of shots he usually hits i think he'll improve nd become more consistent he's already had multiple 20 point games this year I refuse to believe he's had this huge of a dropoff in 1 year so the amnesty nd trade talks need to stop

I really don't think Paul Pierce was the problem tonight... the bigs couldn't rebound and nobody but Rondo knows how to run the floor.

Except it wasn't true, given that the last Pietrus basket came on a Pierce assist. On the other hand, after Rondo was back into the game we never got closer than 6 points.

I can speak from experience about what one more year and a few extra pounds can do to you from one year to the next! Ray plays like he does because he's in incredible shape. You hit your mid 30's and there is a huge wall your body hits no matter what kind of athlete you are. There are few exceptions. Add the pounding he has taken over all those years and its amazing he held out as long as he did. One year can definitely make a difference though.

I love PP, so I sure hope you're right. If he can't give more than this though he's got to sit it down. He looks awful out there most of the time.

Paul Pierce & Baron Davis used to be off season gym rats! It is clear PP & Baron are no more. Looks like he hadn't hooped all summer until when camp opened. "Lockouts" have killed other peoples career also. Remember Shawn Kemp pre Lockout was threatening to be a all-time great PF & maybe at the time of the lockout was better than Barkley & Malone. And after one lockout summer he gained 40-50 lbs & lost every bit of explosiveness he had that made him great. Looks as though PP is going through career disintegration right in front of our eyes. Kemp never made it back & hope Pierce can. We may wanna sell now while he has value.

pierce should come off the bench till he gets his legs back hes really looking slow and usually blows by anyone with his moves.
