Bass/BBD

PPG: 14.7 / 8

RPG:  6.7 / 3.3

FG%: 50% / 35%  (bass even attempted more FG. 36 vs 28)

FT%: 72.7% / 66%

bass did play slightly more minutes than baby.

Consensus: small sample size with 3 games, but bass so far seems to be a big upgrade over baby in nearly every facet of the game.

Bass is exactly what this team needed. He should have been here last year.

  • Yup
Bass is a much more polished player, and always has been.  Baby could take a mean charge though.
Yup

Agreed.  I like Baby, but Bass is just better.  Nothing wrong with that! 8)

Baby was willing to stand in and take a lot of charges, he had heart,  but he couldn't jump , so thats mostly all he could do.

Bass has skills BBD could never dream off.  Bass ruffed up the Pistons inside and finishes with authority.  BBD is pathetic as an inside player,  for me Bass is 100X more valuable.

I'm glade old concrete legs Davis is history now.  Enjoy Bass 's play a ton more.

Bass is a much better basketball player in almost every respect.  It's not even close.

Why did Orlando do this deal? Even before the season I knew Bass was a better, less frustrating player than BBD. Bass is a great sixth man.

Agreed completely. Although I think BBD might actually be able to do what Bass is doing if he had Bass's mentality since BBD has incredible mobility.

By the way was it me or did Bass look better on D today? Maybe he's learning the rotations better?

Bass is a much better player. However, I still give the edge to baby on defense. Much rather have Bass though.

Otis Smith trying to keep Howard happy. Baby needs to give his buddy Howard some of that money he's overpaid for.
