Bulls look terrible. Lakers look pretty good. DEPRESSING

Come on vinnie. It's the first day of the season. haha

I know. But seems everyone expected the Lakers to be weak, and even worse without their starting center. And yet they are going to win today and likely win their first 3. I HATE THEM

They will be weak. This Bulls team can't expose them because their offense is mediocre. Wait until they play the Clippers and Thunder.

Indeed.  A team relying on regular contributions from Steve Blake, Josh McRoberts, Troy Murphy, Devin Ebanks, and Metta World Peace is going to be maddeningly inconsistent.  Kobe is going to have to carry them, and he's too old to do that every single night in a condensed season.  The Lakers will drop a lot of games to teams worse than them.

. . . and that's why Rose won the MVP last season.

I'm going with all of the above.

As an aside -- did anybody else notice how Mike Brown ran the same "hero offense" with Kobe at the end of the game there as he used to run with LeBron in Cleveland?

I didn't say Rose DESERVED the MVP.  But plays like that, after the Bulls defense got the game close again, are why Rose won the MVP.

To be fair, kobe's been running that (low percentage) end of game play for his whole career, regardless of coach.

Thank you, Baby Jesus, for not allowing the Lakers to win on this wonderful day on which you were born.

I saw terrible decisions. Why didn't Pau get more touches?

Jameer Nelson is so overrated, I can't believe this guy was once an all-star.
