He was literally one of the best players (alongside Marquis) on the floor last night. I think this isn't a one time thing. He's been very good in Italy and he's very savvy for a rookie (especially when you put him next to Bradley).

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Nope -- undersized and lacks explosive athleticism.

Doesn't sound like an NBA player to me. Euro-baller.

I watched almost all his Italian league games. He crushed all opposing 1 and 2 guards he came across.
He has a relaxed poise and he lets the game come to him- similarly to Rodney Stuckey.
He has a very good three point shot and he is not undersized to run the point spot. If Billups at 6 foot 3 can play point and two guard, then Moore at 6 foot 4 can play both. He's an inch shorter than Ray Allen.

He reminds me of Billups and Stuckey as rookies.
Very controlled, very disciplined, and isn't afraid to mix between aggression and patience when he needs to.

Definite sleeper pick up. I said this as soon as we drafted him and I still can't believe he didn't go first round. It's definitely because of his 4 year status.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Moore looked really good indeed. What I liked most about him was his confidence, it's at a very high level and you rarely see that from rookie. I thought he looked more like a rookie whenever he was playing alongside Ray (giving him the ball everytime he was near him) but you could definitely see he was a different player when he didn't feel the need to defer to his "mentor" (i.e when Ray was not on the court, basically).

I think he can become a solid reserve this season.

I feel like his time with Treviso really helped with confidence playing in a professional league.

I hope he contributes this year - and is given a _chance_ to contribute

What i like about E'Twaun (JaJuan also) is that he is a hard worker. After barely getting drafted, in late second round, he didn't cry about it, but worked. Hard. He even went to Italy, i think that tells us something. Not any NBA rookie does that. This dude is a hardworker. He is a Celtic.

A second rounder can make it in the NBA.. with the right amount of hard work, anything is possible.

For those that don't think Johnson will have a good NBA career, because he got picked as late as 27th... Kendrick Perkins is a 27, aswell.

I'm excited. This season could be a total disaster, or a great adventure.. lets get it!

Doc's gonna tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear.

Yeah iknow, my username is Kendrick Perkins and my ranking is Jeff Green. Ironic huh?

Tommy point for using the word "adventure". I like that, that's a good way to think of this season.

That said, I don't "think" E'Twaun is a sleeper, but I do have some outside hope for it. Fans love to root for a hardworking underdog, and that's something he's got going for him.

Had C's taking him in the second round of my mock draft last June and  I believe in him even more now....certainly more than Bradley

Similar career in Big Ten to Redd who also was a second rounder.

Danny has a knack for finding players in the second round who can contribute.   While I don't see him going to Cooperstown he looks like he isn't afraid to shoot at this level and driven to prove himself.  This attitude should help him.

I think this biggest reason why Moore could become a factor off the bench for us this year is that Doc is probably gonna have to use him (and JuJuan for that matter) we all know most seasons Doc would rely heavily on Vet's, but this isn't like most seasons, he is gonna have to give the young kids a shot to help out.

glen davis fits that description, and he's made a career for himself, so it's definitely possible.

i'll take below average athleticism and size coupled with confidence and comfort in a specialized role over explosiveness and size coupled with low basketball IQ and indecision any day.

after all, guys like giddens, walker, gerald green etc all have NBA size and athleticism, but they've never really made it, whereas players like Ryan Gomes find a way to stick in a team's rotation.

Exactly, as I said above, Danny has been highly successful drafting flawed but talented players later in the draft.  BBD, Powe, Gomes, and TA were all undersized for their spots, and some had further questions (like Powe with his knees).

Did he get stars?  No.  But all proved effective role/rotation players.  And I think it's certainly possible Moore fits that role.

I dont think Moore getting Bradleys minutes would really be a shocker because I think anyone could play the spot better than Bradley.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Since Moore is a 4-year college player, isn't he actually older than Bradley?

Yes, and main reason why I haven't started a new Association with the Celtics on 2k12...waiting for 2k to add Moore so I can go!
Can't stop, Rondo!

Yes, Bradley was 19 (1 year player if I'm not mistaken) when drafted.

But I like the idea of Moore off the bench. Since Bradley is more a combo guard (TA in the making since hes an NBA defender), Moore could be that 3 point shooter off the bench especially w/ Green out. I say give him a shot Doc, we need some scoring off this bench
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
