Indiana should have enough money to go after Nene.

Sign and trade Hibbert for Nene.

Collison/Hill
George/Mayo
Granger
West/Hansbrough
Nene/Foster

+ Stephenson, D. Jones, Pendergraph

They'd probably still have money to add another wing.

Ah, sending Hibbert out in a S&T for Nene makes a lot of sense. I'd definitely do that.

He wouldn't.

Unless the lockout really helped his body. He could barely run straight last season. Too much arthritis in those knees.

Let's hope the three team deal between Indy, NO, and Boston might be back on... Rondo would be a nice fit with the Pacers current starting lineup.

I'm scared of him being here, not helping much and Doc being stubborn on playing him.

I wonder if people are aware that Pavlovic is almost seven years younger than Posey (who will turn 35 next month).

At this point, I think Pavlovic is a better 3-point shooter and a better defender on the wing.  Posey is still a better rebounder.  Does anyone disagree with that assessment?

Here's what I wonder: if Danny had known he was going to have the amnesty clause to use on Posey, would he have given him the fourth year after the championship?

Yeah, you are probably right about this (he really is a very underrated defender).  But, can he give bear hugs?

pass on Posey at this stage.  As unthrilling as Sasha is, he's the better option right now.  god, how sad it is to say Sasha's a better option than other players under consideration   :-\

First of all, you'd still have to pay him the money. Secondly, he's almost 2 years removed from really being worth his contract.

I do disagree that he is a defender.   Maybe today but Posey is getting up there.   But in his prime Posey would own him.   I do not think that Sasha has ever been more than a average defender.  I don't recall him being lockdown at any point.   I don't know how people even think he is a good defender at this point.  Doc doesn't really trust from the games I saw he was glued to the pine.

Posey has performed better when games matter. He has two rings.  He has played in 65 playoff games to Sasha's 42.  A more telling stat is that Posey has played 1671 minutes to Sasha 's 821.  Sasha started 20 0f his playoff games to 6 of Posey's games.  Sasha may start but he quickly sits.  Posey comes off the bench  and plays a lot more.  Posey playoff stats are superior.

That being said maybe Sasha is the better player today.   I for one am not impressed with this career averages of 5.3 PPG.  I do not think he does anything particularly well.

Posey is old.   But I would sign him at the min and let them compete for a spot.   I would not bet against Posey beating out Sasha.
