Any salary cap experts know if this would work?

Celts get: CP3, Okafor
NO gets: Rondo, JO, Bradley, E Moore, JJ, draft picks

I think this is something like 3 mil short of what needs to be done to match up?  Can we use Sheed's contract in the deal?  Maybe S+T a few other bodies?

The NBA wants them younger with draft picks...this does that.  JO's inclusion didnt work for West but he was a FA...subbing in expirings like JO and the rest of these guys for Okafor takes 3 years of Okafor off the books for 1 year of expirings.

This realistic at all?

Solid player though, would fill our rebounding/interior defense need.  It's not like we are going to be able to sign anybody better next year...all the studs aren't going to hit FA most likely.

Running this through the trade checker for Rondo, JO, Bradley for Paul, Okafor puts us 6.5m away via the old CBA rules (I believe there can be a larger salary discrepency under the new rules?).  Adding in a couple rookies brings that down more then a matter of filling in some salary slots.  We have a few trade exceptions from Harangody/Semih too it seems.
