Ideally, Chicago is able to acquire Jamal Crawford...  It can only help Boston.

Alex Kennedy: The Chicago Bulls remain very interested in Jamal Crawford. They've been in touch with him today and are still looking into sign-and- trade. Twitter

Yeah, Chicago will definitely be his first choice after that I'm thinking Dallas over us though.

So it looks like Rip was merely waived, as opposed to amnestied, so he can now choose his next team.  Under amnesty, a amnestied player is first offered to all teams  under the salary cap line, and the highest bidder gets the player.

Hamilton is a true FA now.  Hopefully his association with ray Allen will be a lure to bring him (along with his annoying ability to draw FTs by reacting to contact when running around picks like he was shot by a bazooka).

I wonder if New York will go in for Rip ... I am thinking

PG - Baron Davis, JJ Barea
SG - Rip Hamilton, Landry Fields
SF - Carmelo Anthony,
PF - Amare Stoudemire, Jared Jeffries, Shawne Williams
C  - Tyson Chandler

We could go after Rip with the Mini-MLE though, then Pryz with the min. I like that roster

Crawford to Chicago and Carter to Dallas might change that.

Rip is going to want to play with a veteran team. Not people who he watched go into the league when he had already won a championship. Boston is a strong possibility for Rip. He's been competing against Paul, Ray, KG and JO for years. He might just want to sign here.
