Fesenko still available

Ainge did a fine job with the scraps he had.
Fesenko is worthless.

compared to Dwight Howard, YES.
compared to the typical 2nd or 3rd string, NO.

Compared to anyone he's worthless. He's just not a skilled player at all. He has size and that is where my praise ends.

Celtics need size. 1+1=2

I would rather play Wilcox at the 5. Gray is a much better pickup too.

E’Twaun Moore, the No. 3 scorer in Purdue men’s basketball history, has agreed to a guaranteed contract with the NBA’s Boston Celtics. “Yes, that’s true,” Moore said in a text message today. Mark Bartelstein, Moore’s agent and chief executive officer of Chicago-based Priority Sports, said Moore will sign his contract tonight and will be in camp for the Celtics’ opening practice. Journal and Courier

TP for being the first (I've seen) to report this.

Also, I hope they sign Wilcox and Gray -- Fesenko's better than nothing, but not as good as the other two guys.

Let's put it this way: I don't think he gives you anything over Troy Murphy at this stage of his career -- and this somehow doesn't look like a compliment to me.

With Moore, Dooling, and Quis I feel like we're good at the 1 and 2.  If (when) we sign Green We'll be good at the forward spots too.  All we need is to shore up the 5.  I'd be real happy if that was Gray.

We're going to need more pop off the bench at the 2 than Moore and Quis, with all due respect to those guys. Moore has potential to be a contributor but he's not someone you can count on.

Wow, a guaranteed contract. I didn't see that coming.

They must be really impressed with E.Moore.

Dooling plays a lot of two. Pierce can move to the two when he plays with Green.

Moore opted out of his very good contract with Benetton Treviso. He wouldn't do it without a guaranteed contract with the Celtics.

I liked Moore. He's tough, likes to compete and doesn't make stupid decisions often. Very gritty and tenacious. Moves well of the ball, on both sides of the floor. I'm just worried that he'll struggle with his 3pt shot in the NBA. And he'll be limited to defend smaller wings, he isn't quick enough to guard NBA point-guards or long enough to guard bigger wings.

I thought Josh Howard be a nice fit...he probably doesn't want to play behind Pierce and Jeff Green.

The Cs still need a back up C (I'd take Reggie Evans) and a SG who can play big minutes on back-to-back-to-backs when Ray Ray is toast.  I'd roll the dice on Michael Redd if they could get him cheap.

Ainge and his 2nd round picks... Has he ever drafted someone who didn't end up making the team?

I like Moore though.  Roger Mason, Jr. type of player: skilled enough to earn time as a tweener.

He measure a tiny bit bigger and longer than Eric Gordon if that's of any comfort.  Nowhere near as athletic as Gordon, unfortunately.

Yeah, he's about Eric Gordon's size, undersized 2-guard with solid wingspan, but with mediocre athleticism. He'll be a good defender on your typical SG. At least he played very good defense for Benetton.

I think either Ray or PP will be in the game to add pop to the second unit.  You take out one and rest the other,  rinse repeat and finish the game if we don't add a second unit scorer.
