So if we do land CP3 and win it all this year i wonder what Simmons would say? That he was just reverse-jinxing the trade ala Boston vs LA in 2008?

You can include Bill Simmons among the sentimental Celtics fans still bitter about the Perkins trade and more bitter about all of this Rondo trade chatter.

You can include me as someone who stopped caring about, let alone reading, Bill Simmons about 4 years ago.
Celtics fan for life.

Not a big fan of Simmons.  His writing is strange.  He is a bandwagon fan, who just so happens to have once upon a time loved the C's, but only recently (new big 3 era) came to be vocal about it.

That being said, in this instance, I agree with him fully. I wish we could trade Ainge.  I'd take a sack of nickles.

I hold the C's to a high regard.  I want a team that is loyal to it's players.  that is what the C's are supposed to be about.  Obviously not with Ainge in charge.  He is taking a dump on Rondo.  But it's par for the course now.

I want Ainge gone, and I want a GM who conducts his business diffrently.  He is flat cold, and deceptive.  Not what I like.

As you can tell from that baby face, Occam's razor has never touched Bill Simmons.

Besides my exact sentiments regarding Simmons probably the exact opposite counter point to my view and opinion on the whole thing.

But TP for the Simmons rant.
