Realistically Ideal:
Rondo / West
Ray / Wafer / Bradley
Paul / Green (QO-only)
KG / Davis(1yr only) / Johnson
O'Neal / 1yr MLE (Przybilla, Hayes, Kwame) / vet min (Kurt Thomas, Damps, Gray)

Realistic:
Rondo / West
Ray / Wafer / Bradley
Paul / Hill / Marquis
KG / vet min (Evans, Powe, Foster) / Hill / Johnson
O'Neal / 1yr MLE / vet min

Either way you've only got 31mil on the books next year + 2 first rounders.  That's the key, even if Green and Davis find longer deals else-where.  If we can manage a vet like Prince/Battier or an offensive guy like J-Rich/Crawford for the full MLE you have to do it, but those things will never happen.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

CP/West/Bradley
Ray/West/Wafer
Pierce/Marquis or J. Howard
KG/Baby/JJ Johnson
JO/Pryzbilla/Baby

This would be the 12 man roster and a feasible roster without using the MLE.  I'd like to use the MLE and possibly:

Replace Marquis/Howard/Wafer with Grant Hill, Battier, or Tayshaun Prince.
Replace Pryzbilla/Baby with Dalembert or other far-fetched C available
Replace Baby with Carl Landry
Replace Wafer with Stevenson or Afflalo
2020 CelticsStrong All-2000s Draft -- Utah Jazz

Finals Starters:  Jason Kidd - Reggie Miller - PJ Tucker - Al Horford - Shaq
Bench:  Rajon Rondo - Trae Young - Marcus Smart - Jaylen Brown -  Peja Stojakovic - Jamal Mashburn - Carlos Boozer - Tristan Thompson - Mehmet Okur

PG Rondo, West (stay away Lakers), Bradley
SG Ray, Roger Mason (vet min), Moore
SF Pierce, Green (QO), Daniels (vet min)
PF KG, Baby (2 years, $11 mil, 2nd year a team option - midseason trade bait), JJ
C JO, Aaron Gray (2 years, $4.5 mil), empty roster spot   This would be my don't-bother-to-get-up-from-the-armchair-GM offseason.  Ainge continues his long history of signing his 2nd round picks (Hunter, Baby, Powe, Pruitt, Walker, Erden, Harangody) with Moore.  Sweet talks West into one more year with the club.  Takes advantage of the shortened offseason and Jeff Green's mediocre season to keep him on his QO.  Gives Baby some up-front cash for continuity and trade flexibility.  Is forced to concede an extra year to Aaron Gray to procure him in a big-starved market.  Grabs Mason, Jr. on the cheap hoping he can act as injury insurance for West and keep the young guys off the floor.  The final roster spot would be kept open in hopes that Kenyon Martin would join the team on his return from China.  A vulnerable, injury prone big rotation, and very little in the way of playmaking or scoring off the bench, but still an elite defensive squad and a decent offensive team.

PG Rondo, West, Bradley
SG Ray, Terrence Williams (acquired via TE and our 2012 pick), Mason
SF Pierce, Jamario Moon, empty spot
PF KG, Boris Diaw (acquired from Charlotte in a sign/trade for Jeff Green), JJ   C JO, Joel Przybilla (1 year mini-MLE), Reggie Evans

This is the closest thing to a realistic ideal I can come up with.  Our tall timber would go 3 deep with KG, JO and Przybilla, each providing above average rim protection and solid rebounding.  Boris Diaw would provide long-needed shot-creation for our bench, and his positional/defensive versatility + durability would come in hand as did Baby's.  Best of all he expires at the end of the year.  Terrence Williams give us an intriguing piece to groom for a Tony Allen type role, with Moon and Mason on hand for Doc's security.
I like Evans as a 5th stringer over an Erden-type, as we’d able to count on him to do one thing well.  Overall, health-permitting of course, I'd like that team's chances at a title.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Rondo/West
Ray/Mayo
Pierce/Green
KG/Kmart(for playoffs)/TMurphy/J3
Haywood/McRoberts

How:

S&T BBD and a 2nd rounder for Mayo (after TA recruits BBD to MEM)

Trade JO for Haywood straight up (or with whatever little BS to grease the wheels) so we have an actual reliable Center.  JO backs up Chandler in Dallas going for the repeat, while they get out of the $$ committment to Haywood down the road so they can afford Chandler.

McRoberts for the minimum.

MLE available (if needed) for Kenyon Martin after the Chinese season ends.

Start sewing the banner now!

2011-2012 Boston Celtics

Starting Roster
1) Rajon Rondo ($10,045,455)
2) Ray Allen ($10,000,000)
3) Paul Pierce ($15,333,334)
4) Kevin Garnett ($21,247,044)
5) Jermaine O'Neal ($6,226,200)
6) JuJuan Johnson ($895,700)
7) Avery Bradley ($1,524,480)
8) E'Twaun Moore ($500,000)

Signings
1) Jeff Green (1 year, Signs Qualifying Offer - $5,908,641)
2) Delonte West (1 year, Veterans Minimum - $965,185)
3) Michael Redd (1 year, Veterans Minimum - $1,138,500)
4) Carl Landry (1 year, team option for second year, MLE - $3,000,000
5) Marquis Daniels (1 year - Veterans Minimum - $1,029,873)
6) Reggie Evans (1 year - Veterans Minimum - $1,035,000)

Trades
1) Glen Davis (Sign and trade, $5,000,000) to Denver Nuggets for Chris Anderson ($4,277,800)

Explanation
The Celtics would love to trade Rondo for a star and give themselves flexibility moving forward, but New Orleans is going to play tough and hold out for as many draft picks as possible, something we aren't willing to shell out.

Jeff Green will accept his qualifying offer in an attempt to boost his free agent stock for the next offseason. This is a win-win for both sides as Green gets to boost value, and the Celtics don't have to commit to him long term.

The Celtics make a flurry of 1-year veteran minimum signings, welcoming back Delonte West and Marquis Daniels, as well as Michael Redd and Reggie Evans. Redd will be inclined to make a title run while proving he is healthy so he can cash in next offseason.

With our 'mini MLE', we will sign Landry as Davis' replacement. He is a bit more skilled than Davis, and wont try to take over a game with his jumpshot as Davis often tried to do. Like the others, he will take a 1-year deal for good money and cash in on the next offseason after playing for a premier team.

The Celtics find a trade suitor for Davis after shopping around, and convince the Nuggets that Davis can be a part of their future as they begin to rebuild. Chris Anderson will solidify the defense and rebounding of the second unit, and can step in and start if Jermaine O'Neal gets injured at any point in the season.

Our primary bench will consist of Delonte, Redd, Green, Landry and Anderson. This will provide solid defense, the ability to score, and shouldn't get run out of the gym by any other opposing benches. If we need more rebounding, we will have Marquis Daniels and Reggie Evans waiting on the bench as well. Bradley will be used in certain defensive matchups to makeup for Redd's lack of defense.

Rookies Moore and Johnson will see some time at the NBADL, with Moore likely spending the season down there. Johnson will get spot minutes after injuries to KG, O'Neal and Evans.

Final Depth Chart
PG: Rondo - West - Bradley
SG: Allen - Redd - Marquis
SF: Pierce - Green - Moore (Marquis)
PF: Garnett - Landry - Johnson (Evans)
C: O'Neal - Anderson - Evans

Here's where things stand so far:

PG Rajon Rondo / Keyon Dooling (using Marquis Daniels TE)
SG Ray Allen / Marquis Daniels (vet min) / Avery Bradley
SF Paul Pierce / Jeff Green (qualifying offer?)
PF Kevin Garnett / Brandon Bass (via Glen Davis S&T)
C Jermaine O'Neal / Chris Wilcox

No official word on rookie signings, but have to believe JaJuan is the 3rd string PF, and the team's 12th man.

3 roster slots to go. Need a shooting wing, a true C, and perhaps another combo guard (Delonte would be a great fit).

Ainge still has the mini-MLE left to work with.

That bench has a lot of quickness and athleticism on it.

Looks like they may have that a point of emphasis.
