If Boston made a S+T for Dalembert, they would still only be left with the mini-MLE right?

Who are realistic options on the wing for 3 years, $9mil?

I am thinking = Grant Hill, Mike Dunleavy, Josh Howard ...

And a bunch of guys who will likely be available for the minimum.

in fairness to caron, i think he was shooting pretty well from 3 last year prior to his injury.
He was having a very hot stretch before his injury, he had 10+ games of excellent shooting from everywhere on the floor.

But for his career he's just a .319 3 point shooter, and the year prior was at 29%

Mbah a Moute would be an interesting target in that price range, but I think you listed off the cream of the crop.

Marquis is really solid, though, and he knows the system. I'd take a chance on him in a heartbeat, I just make sure to have a Plan B, too.

yes, We know what Tuff Juice brings to the table; whether its his scoring ability, tenacious defense, or leadership. I'll take the allstar over 'Mr Average' Jeff Green.

Sooooooo...we're saying Jeff Green is a bust and the season hasn't started yet?

lol...no offense, but you sound like me yesterday while I was posting in a CP3 thread. I stated that I believed CP3 would re-injure himself right after he got traded to Boston.

That was admittedly rather pessimistic of me.

C'mon man have some faith in Jeff. Give him a training camp and we'll see what happens.

Caron Butler?  You mean the guy who has missed 150 games during his nine year NBA career and seems to be getting more and more fragile as each season passes?

What we don't need with an already very old team is a guy who will likely spend as much time hurt or rehabbing yet another injury as he will on the court.  We also don't need more guys on the downside of their careers, we have enough of them already.

Pass unless it is for dirt cheap.

I have some hope but this school of thought allows me to be less upset if he doesn't deliver. I'm a big Jeff Green fan, he has all the tools to be a very good basketball player. Hopefully last year when he consistently made bad basketball decisions it was because he was nervous. It bothered me on o when he would pass up an open shot take a dribble into a contested shot or take a shot right away when it's contested.

Good point..I see your concern.

I expect Jeff Green to hit the court running this season, though. A more confident, aggressive Jeff Green. He will have a full understanding starting next friday what his teammates need from him.

He'll deliver.
