isnt this really old news though?? its common knowledge that Danny Ainge is "open" to trading anyone....doesnt mean he will trade them.

right now, theres NO ONE out there I would trade rondo for minus D.Howard or CP3.

the thing is, people saying we could plug in delonte/avery and be fine are neglicting that our offense was anemic when Robinson/Delonte had to man the starting lineup. the big 3 no longer can create offense on their own and Rondo through his assists/ppg creates 47% of the offense...that is a BIG number

unless you can get someone who can give you ALOT more than Rondo can, then theres no point in trading him. it would be a bad decision.

besides, I think this is a whole lot of nothing..we get these rumors every year.

As much as I love Rondo, he scares me. He seems to me the kind of guy who will try to run coaches and players out of town during years when we aren't as good. But that is just speculation.

CP3 is just at a different level. He is a true max contract PG, so even a pricier contract gets value.

Trading for Cp3 doesn't take us out of the race for Howard. It depends on if Danny is willing to trade for him without an extension(might lower the asking price) enabling him to become a free agent we could resign at a lower starting salary, if we trade some guys with him, or if he resigns for less expecting us to bring in Howard.

I don't think that's a chance Danny could possibly take.

you mean like bird and jordan would do?
the savings we have on rondo can help us get howard

1 chris paul
2 deron williams
3 derrick rose
4 rajon rondo

which top 4 point guard doesn't DOESN'T need to handle the ball 90% of the time and can still dominate?

Certainly Chris Paul. Is that answer you were looking for?

Here's one in return:

Who's the most inconsistent of those four?

The shocking trade is what's going to happen... Perk was in no ones radar to be traded, to who, and who for. W/e we do, it will probably be a move that seems crazy to some (probably most) of the fans!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Dollar for dollar Rondo is the best valued point guard in the league not on a rookie contract. CP3 will take up more cap room but is worth the additional space.

Also that.

Our lineups right now are actually limiting what Rondo can do. Apart from Ray and Paul Pierce's trailing threes there's nothing much in the way of run and gun.

Delonte works much better with our starting group since he can space the floor and allow KG and Pierce to go one-on-on, where they are hard to stop. Delonte, however, is also injury prone.

The more I think about it, the more sense singing Allen Iverson makes now. Or at least another point guard who can spread the floor.

Did you see the playoffs? The offense withered and died with Delonte running the point. The offense was better with Rondo playing with one arm than it was with West.

Why trade your future unless it is to win now. CP and Dwight Howard are the only two figures that would fall into that category; but chemistry issues during a shortened season could be fatal. The C's play went up and down with Rondo's. Would need a consistent All-Star setup man and scorer in his place. CP or Deron Williams are the only ones that come to mind.

the Rondo trade won't be shocking, too many reports about it, it must be something we haven't even thought of yet that Ainge will end up doing

Rubio is going to turn out to be a "lot of hype, little substance" type of player, imo. Rondo>>>>>>Rubio.
