In all seriousness the NFL gave free Sunday Ticket to new Direct TV subscribers the NBA should do something like that.

They should discount the price from an 82 game season to a 66 game season and include the playoffs for free.

However, I doubt they do that. I expect that their only efforts to repay fans will be via gate receipts. Similar stuff as those cheap $10 tickets that they offered last time around (lockout 1999).

I think they'll just reduce the price for the regular season
Instead of the first week free like last year they could do 2 weeks? Or the all star weekend free

10 dollar tickets would be ok as long as they don't end up in the hands of scalpers and ticket agencies and go for 80 bucks a ticket instead, which unfortunately they will

Sunday Ticket is free to new subscribers every year.

How will they repay the fans?  By allowing the fans to continue to pay higher prices for tickets to help all owners achieve the profits they feel they are entitled to.

This is exactly what I'm expecting.

League pass must be a huge source of income for them, I doubt it'll become free.
