with pierce and rondo (trade or injury aside) still being the starters and if the "go all out for Howard" plan fails, or Josh Smith, and DWill CP3 and Lebron  don't come, what about eric gordan? FA in 2012. Probably will command a huge contract but assuming we land no one else and contracts come off the books well have cash to spend.

I would advise against Howard due to price and his short term dominance (i think hell wear out in a few years).

Sorry if this has been covered since the agreement was made earlier today, but I was wondering if there were any franchise tag or anything that would prevent the C's from going after Deron William, Paul or Howard next year? I know the owners wanted to make it more fair for the small markets to compete and keep their stars and I havent had the chance to read any articles on it because I am at work. So can anyone tell me if the new agreement still allows the c's to sign a max free agent next year?
