Larry at #6. Very shrewd by Red.

This one is a no-brainer. You're talking about a top 5 player arguably to ever touch a basketball.

After this though I think Rondo was absolutely brilliant. My apologies to Aldridge but to get the best player in the draft at 21 is phenomenal.

Pierce at 10 was also great. He was a top 3 prospect and along with Dirk arguably the best player in one of the best drafts in the last 25 years

As a point of note I think Erhden is the only, or virtually the only last overall pick to become a contributor, and then he was still worth something to be shipped out and was missed. Granted we had to wait two years, but that's still a pretty good pick at last overall

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
Rondo.

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I think in the 1956 draft they acquired some kids named Russell, Heinsohn, and KC Jones. So not only did they get 3 HOF players who won rings, but all three won rings as coaches for the team. Best draft for any team ever in any sport. No hyperbole there

I kinda like Dino Radja 13th in the 2nd round. That one gives me a warm feeling in my tummy

Bird would seem like the no-brainer here.

After that I'd consider Reggie Lewis very late in the draft.  Rondo too.

I miss Leon. Such a hard worker. I feel terrible that his knees are garbage.

I guess Glen Davis wasn't a bad pick at 35 (i think) though.
