Is love really that good?  I think pierce is better than westbrook.

Maybe Love isn't that good but he will be. Huge ceiling. He's dominating the boards already.

To me, Paul Pierce is the most underrated player in the league. Nuff said.

If the Celtics had Kevin Love the rebounder...just the rebounder, not even the 20 point scorer. Just a guy that could snatch every rebound within 10 feet of him, they would have won the alst 2 championships.

Love's ability, akin to Rodmans in the 90's is vastly underrated. When you see him on a winning team in the playoffs swallowing up rebounds and getting his team extra scoring chances, it will be evident how valuable he is. Add to that the guy can shoot with range...wow.

If Love isn't scoring, then he is a one trick pony.

There is no defense there.  He would be another Danny Fortson.

I think Love is getting stat inflation love.  Put him on a team with real scorers, and his offense gets to the David Lee level.  (Lee offense dropped when he left NY with few options to GS with a lot of options)

I think he could at least equal Baby on D.  Not on the charges or giving up the body but on foot speed and man to man D I think he would be equal to Davis.

We could really use the boards but let's be real I doubt he is coming here so it's moot.

I think you are underrating Davis' footspeed.  The reason he takes those charges is because he is so quick for a man his size.

But anyways, the problem with Love is that he is a solid player that is going to be paid like a star...and who would only be traded for star-like compensation.  He can put up stats on a bad team, but I don't think he is any more than a role player on a good team.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Looks like a fair enough rank. He'll be in the top 10 in a couple of years if he consistently hits 15 footers.

SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine

They have Melo and Amare way too high.  Haven't really paid attention to their rankings much, figured they wouldn't be worth the time.
Who would you put ahead of them?
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

He does rotate as good as Davis.  (slower)

He doesn't have the ability to get bigger men off the block like Davis does.

Davis is the better defender (which say a lot about Love's lack of defense)

Love is a better offensive threat and rebounder.

Love is the better player.

Zach Randolph, Blake Griffin say hi.  Both players who put up stats very similar to Kevin Love.  Randolph was the only one of the three on a decent team, and yet he was ranked in the middle of them.  Not much rhyme or reason if you ask me.

Kevin Love throws the best outlet passes in the league, and his combination of floor spacing and rebounding is unparalleled.  I'd put Z-Bo, K-Love, and Griffin all close together in the rankings, but I'd have them in that order.  None of them should be higher than #15.

Put K-Love on a team with at least one other decent defender and his lack of defensive prowess won't be nearly as noticeable (again, take a look at Zach Randolph last season).

Bet Rondo would make a hell of a receiver.  Better than Chad at this point, anyway.

Griffin is also to high but if you think he and Love share a ceiling, really?

And unlike Love, those two don't suffer from being undersized and slow of foot for their positions.  Those physical limitation is why Love is to high and why on a more talented team, you would see a big hit on his offensive numbers while his defense is still non-existent.

It is not a "try" issue for Love.  It is he is smaller and/or slower then the guys he has to defend.

Isn't Kevin Love 6'10"?  That seems normal height for the PF position.

The last guy to go for 20/15 was Moses Malone in 82/83.  Love shot 41.7% from 3, is an excellent foul shooter, a superb passer, and just had the 10th best RB% of all time (the stat was started in the 70's and the first 7 are all Rodman).  All of this in just his third season.  Put Love with a legit center and/or on a good team and I think he is even better.
