I'm back. I've missed you guys. A lot of things have been going on in my life so I haven't been on the site since earlier in the summer. What's this talk about the playoffs?

If you can play in the playoffs, we'd love to have you ... we still need three players. You can take either St. Louis or Arizona and we'll plug you in tomorrow, (schedlue is below, so just get your pick in before your start time ... same basic rules as PAPTBG. Great to see you back, my friend!

** I went ahead and picked B.J. Upton, (as he has no bases and only one at bat right now), just in case we get somebody to plug in later. Here's hoping! **

:)

I'd love to. Doesn't someone already have Arizona, though?

Nope ... we're missing three people and the deadline has passed, so you can have either team.

We still need two players ... one for St. Louis and one for Tampa Bay. Somebody? Anybody?!?

Hi! I'd love to participate, but I'm a little confused as to the rules, heh. So should I choose St. Louis or Tampa Bay, I'd pick one person per series from that time?

Just pick either team, then one player for each game this series ... you can only pick a player once per series. Great to have you back!! (TP)

Yeh, go ahead and pick one of them, then submit a pick for a player as soon as you coon.

You go head to head with one other CB member picking only from the team you choose.  You can only pick a player once per series, but you do pick a different player every game.  Full rules are at the 2nd post in this thread.

I think this format will actually work much better for the MLB playoffs than it did for the NBA playoffs (and those were pretty fun).

Still need one more so we don't have a dummy team.

I'll do some recruiting.

Awesome! Just pick your first player sometime before the game tonight, (times are listed earlier in this thread).

Redz and I decided that if we get a player for the Tampa/Texas series, we'll give MattG12 a reprieve on game one, and just make it a two-to-four game series instead of three-to-five, so it will be fair. (MattG12 - you can change your pick if you like).

Also, in case of an ulimate tie-breaker, (say all zeros, which is a distinct possibility), we'll use RBI's.

** Leaders are marked in red, followers are marked in blue, and ties are marked in purple. All picks are due at the time of that game's start, and in case of a tie, the total bases difference decides the winner, if it's still a tie, then the type of hit decides, (HRs beat Triples, Triples beat Doubles, etc.). Missed picks, late picks, and DNPs, will result in a score five points less than that of your opponent's. Thanks to everyone for playing/helping this year, we hope to see you again next season, and try to bring someone new with you ... the more the merrier! **
