Just another example of Obama getting blamed for breaking things that were already broke. ;D

Just my opinion, but I seriously doubt that Rondo took what President Obama said to heart.

If he did, then Rajon certainly didn't let the comment affect the rest of his game - just ask NY about Rondo's play during the playoffs.

Ask MIA, too, until the unfortunate incident occured.
Thank you, I hardly doubt Rajon was hurt behind those comments, its not like he hasn't heard them before.

I'm not saying this is true (I think it may be a joke)... but are you saying that because he has heard it b4 that coming from a certain person it wouldn't have a different effect? Like, if someone says you are ugly you probably don't let it phase you (no matter how much u hear it) but to hear it from say, a parent... that could eat at you! It's the first black president, most people (at that time) liked him, held him in high regards... coming from B.O. it could have got under RR's skin a little! I dunno but it seems logical.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

The whole thing just seems more hilarious than not.

If this is true, and I was Rondo, I would've said something like:

"Ok Mr. President - I'll have Derrick Rose teach me how to shoot and I'll teach Derrick how to pass and make my teammates better", lol......

I also, like BBallTim, think that this hand injury was also a "coincidence".  ::)

I would have gone with "Maybe after that Ray could teach you how to balance a budget".

Yes that's exactly what I'm saying. I'm sorry but Barack being the first black president has no significant in reguards to basketball. Rajon hears it from the media, sports writers, haters, and fans all the time. He does not strike me as the kind of guy to care what anyone outside of the Celtic organization thinks about him.
