Until someone tells me a reliable way to stop a Lebron-Griffin pick-and-roll with Gordon spotted up in the corner or running off a screen, I've got to go with that.

Amare-LeBron P&R is wayyyyy more lethal. Way more. Griffin is an animal, but not on Amare's level offensively, or as a P&R player.

The benefit in Griffin-LeBron-Gordon pairing is that Griffin's ceiling is much higher than Amare's, and he's already an elite rebounder, and likely a better defender.

But until Griffin gets Amare's offensive savvy (which is really underestimated, he's way better at creating his own shot), and gets that jumper consistent for an entire season, LeBron/Amare is for my money the most dangerous P&R, aside from possibly LeBron/Dirk.

I think that Gordon is the tipping point for me. Yeah I'd take Lebron and Stat over Lebron Griffin, right now, at least. Gordon was showing allstar stats and superstar effort aside from his injury. He fought through an awful shooting slump and found his range, which is insane BTW. Kid needs a hand in his face 3 ft behind the 3pt line. He's an explosive driver and great facilitator in the lane.

Not only would that Clippers team been way more fun than Heat to watch, they would've dropped the Lakers a couple seeds. Don't forget how mean DeAndre Jordan was, I'd hate to see him on the Heat, just what they need. Kaman, when healthy, would grant great spacing.
he Clippers struggle a lot early in the season, but they were really picking up steam at points. With Lebron instead of Gomes, that would be THE LA team for about 15 years.

I reached much the same conclusions.

But, you forget. They're the Clippers. Until Donald Sterling is dead, with his bones burned with salt and sulfur, and cleansed with holy water, they'll still be the Clippers, and LeBron was right to run away.

You're right.

I hate Donald Sterling so much.

Best team right now is Dallas and they proved it by cutting out the HEAT's heart.   This was not that hard as LeBron plays without heart, Bosh's heart is too wimpy and that leaves only DWade.

LeBron should be in talks about best players but never talks about best teams IMHO.  He chokes and isn't a winner and disappears down the stretch and doesn't thrive under pressure.   He presently until he gets his head screwed on is going to be the weak link on any team in a crucial game.

IMO, watching the Dallas series convinced me that the Lebron we saw against the Celtics and the Bulls was a fluke...Dallas was giving Lebron the same shots celts/bulls were...difference is that he was Making them against us! fadeaway 3's and 3's with hands in your face...once they faced Miami, he came back down to earth to the Lebron we all know..

I just cant see Lebron repeating that run..If the heat play like they did against dallas next year, Celtics, Bulls, even Knicks might be able to take them on

In hindsight, what's the best team?

LeBron/Wade/Bosh

LeBron/Griffin/Gordon

LeBron/Lopez/possibly Deron Williams

LeBron/Rose/Boozer/Noah/Deng(presumably traded)

LeBron/Amare/Chandler/Gallo/Felton

I always thought NYC and CHI were the front runners. Honestly a CHI lineup of Rose/Bogans/Lebron/Boozer/Noah would/could have won it AND avoided the Wade-Lebron similar style problem as well as having a real PG and C (SG solved through bench)
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.
