I'm not a big fan of Guinness but it makes sense from a business perspective, especially depending on what kind of theme you're going for. 

Can we pencil Edgar in for some kind of bamboo?

And extremely well-marketed. Bill Walton was a spokesman last year. Think of all the Guinness T-Shirts, pint glasses, promotional signs/stickers etc that 20-somethings will show up for just to try to steal.

Ya, I've got a great deal of Guinness stuff at my apartment. I do like the beer, but it has more to do with how cool or how nice looking the stuff is.

Funny aside, three years ago I moved out of my parents house and was in desperate need for stuff to fill an apartment. I walked into the Burlington Mall to find a Pub store going out of business. Pure bliss.

My father has a ton of paraphenalia from his bar that's now in self storage.  Tons of Guinness stuff.  

One of my favorites is a Spuds McKenzie neon light.  He could make a killing on eBay with some of this stuff.

There are lots of different Irish Stouts, lots of blended drinks, but whiskey is its own beast. Irish Whiskeys, American Whiskeys, Scotch, Bourbon, Corn WHiskey, Rye Whiskey, oh it goes on.
