A larger food ration for the rest of the team...but seriously, no idea. A lot of people undervalue Davis on this forum. We could get a serviceable player for him of we were able to s&t.

He is definitely not a garbage player but with his recent collapse, his stock value probably went down a few notches.

Doc probably shouldn't have fed his ego. Feeding Glen Davis is a bad idea.

I find it hard to believe that he could have any trade value at all.  He's just a horrible player.  I suppose though a team could be interested of his youth and experience on winning teams and in big situations. 

I'm absolutely sure that statistically inclined teams would have zero interest.  His advanced stats are atrocious. 

He can be had as a FA for not a lot.


I don't really see much of a sign and trade market.



Plus, the Celtics still need him next season.  They have two experienced big men on the roster, and one of them always gets hurt.

With Jason Maxiell and Jonas Jerebko there, Detroit isn't going to go chasing after any high energy tweeners with non-elite skillsets.

Teams that need a first big off the bench with championship experience, teams looking to make the jump or keep at a high level at the cost of giving up a young but undeveloped asset. That's who Glen Davis should appeal to.

EDIT: That's *IF* BBD garners any real interest at all.

Not sure how it would work out but Jason Thompson. I see his cap as a Lamar Odom; 1st big off the bench for a championship contender who can play the 4 and 5 effectively. He's not getting a lot of minutes in SAC town

He looks like he has a lot of energy and thats exactly what our  bench needs.

He ain't getting minutes because he was given a chance and didn't cut it.
The kid is way overrated and seriously needs to work on his jump shot and low post moves. He's like a homeless man's Channing Frye. Not a poor man, a homeless man.

I would love to get my hands on Michael Pietrus to come on and defend Lebron/Wade/Melo.

He's got attitude and a nasty 3 point stroke when he is firing.
I feel Davis is a bit more valuable than just Pietrus but the Celtics need a solid back up wing player who can defend the elite 2/3's in this league.

However there is value to a big man who routinely stays healthy.  And there are GMs out there who are former players, and they trust their instinct more than statistics.  Typically that's disastrous, but it gives me hope that some other team will over-value Glen.

The only way I can see someone trading for Davis is if the T-Wolves decide they don't have enough power forwards.
