  • Ainge *still* has a Posse! Ubuntu Y'all
Looks like I will miss my first pick; I'm away all day on Thursday.

When draft order is set, I'll contact a commissioner about my options.

I'm in jury duty on thursday (I was juror #33!!) so I would too.

What the hey, I'll try it.

When is this thing taking place?

Details havent been hammered out yet,we will put out the official rules and schedule in a little bit once we see how many people we have and such.

I'm in --- but only if I get credit for coming up with the idea  ;D (I suggested the beer draft draught during CBD.

100% of the credit for the idea goes to GC and Champkind

100% of the credit for the theft goes to Rondo and I (The Bill Gateses of the "Pub Experience" draft)

Hahahah. TPs all around!

Can you think of any further responsibilities that me and Rondo would have to split up besides

- Maintaining Draft Board
- Maintaining Rosters
- Trades
- Commissioner Picks

Reminding people of picks, and generally keeping the peace.  (Come on, no bouncer category?)

Oh, and repeatedly harping on the fact that your pick is vastly underrated, but that all the plebians underneath you can't appreciate it.  In other words, defending the Kyle Lowry / Ersan Ilyasova / Travis Outlaw of beers.

Little concerned that whoever gets Swayze wins  ;)

Def should add it though, huh?

Would anyone have any serious objections if me and Rondo rigged the draft so the people who couldn't make it on Thursday got first picks?

It'd allow for them to put their pick in at the beginning of the day, and than make their second round pick at the end of the day.

Definitely.  There are some pretty iconic bouncers out there for folks to choose from.

THIS IS A TRAVESTY

CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

Rondo, points awarded. Roy, you keep calling the kettle black, but yet you fail to recognize the tone of your own pot.

Michael Redd? Carlos Boozer plays great defense? Come on meow.

Speaking from experience of running a similarly surreal draft I would suggest you not allow trades...

Oh, and be prepared for someone to take things too seriously.  Seriously  ::)

I didn't have a pot in this year's draft. ;)

(As for Carlos Boozer, I don't think you'll ever find me saying he played "great defense".  That's the equivalent of saying "Genesee Light has great flavor".  Moreso, the argument would be "Genny Light's flavor isn't as bad as many assume it to be, and when you have Genny Light as the center of your night out -- surrounded by strong flavored beers on the wings -- it can actually hold it's own.  Genny Light has a lot of muscle and can stack up to other beers, so long as you give it that center position.")
