I'm starting to feel like im the Lebron James of this game

2009- Finals (Lost)
2010- Conference Finals (Lost)
2011- Sick of losing, team up with Nick, Conference Finals (Lost)

You tied your star to the wrong wagon this year (Lebron, not nick).  If you'd taken Howard, and a guy like Gordon, Ray, Iggy, or Wallace in the second round, you guys would probably be champions.

Lebron guarantees you a top-4 finish in this game, but after the Finals he just had, it's hard to win with him.

I know, its just impossible to pass at lebron at number 2 isnt it?

Personally I had LeBron 3rd on my depth chart behind Howard and Wade. I think Wade's the best player in the NBA but in this format it's easier to build a team around Howard-- especially with that two round run on bigs that happened-- who I think is the 2nd best player in the NBA.

Thing is I firmly believe Howard can't win a title by himself either.

We would have had Howard, probably had to take Tony Parker at PG, still would have made the trade for Millsap, taken Wes Matthews in the 4th and gone Shane Battier in the 5th. If we filled out the rest of the roster the same way is

Howard/Millsap/Battier/Matthews/Parker/Diaw/Jennings/Miller/Mohammed etc. really a better team that

Chandler/Millsap/Lebron/Matthews/Billups/Diaw/Jennings/Miller/Mohammed etc.

I don't see it. It might be a team that could be sold better but I don't think it's a better team because LeBron makes others around him better, Howard really doesn't.

Yeah, you'd have to pair him up with a guy like Amare, but I have no idea how anybody could pull that off...

I actually would have partnered Ibaka with Howard and gone with the rest of that line up. And yes, I think that's a better team.

I think you could have probably done a little better with the wings on your new team, but I agree the Lebron-based team is probably better...  until the late playoffs.  It's the ultimate Catch-22:  one of the best regular season players in NBA history, who chokes in the Finals (twice).  Very odd stuff.

Both times he put on amazing shows in the ECF to get his team to the Finals.

Plus he also has amazing ECF (against the magic) and second round performances (against 07-08 Boston one of the best defensive teams ever)

I dunno the more I look at him the more I think he'll break through, and soon.

No one wants to talk about how nuts an Ibaka/Howard frontcourt would be?

I'm not so sure how nuts it'd be just yet. The potential as Ibaka matures would be nuts.

I think right now it's bananas and as Ibaka matures it would be a dynasty.
