Pacers have a top 10 second round pick, looking to move UP.

Same for Chicago, but only to target one specific player.

To oblige by league rules I'll remove the vowels out of the player I'm assuming you're talking about:

Nt Rbnsn

If so, prepare for the bidding war to end all bidding wars

People who miss their first pick should not throw stones. ;D

Best value picks: Lebron at 2, Dwight Howard 3, Duncan at 22

Worst value: Manu at 18 maybe, I don't know, everyone got pretty good value actually

Best move: Wiggle getting 2 first rounders

Worst move: Wiggle picking 2 power forwards,  ;D

Surest thing that did happen: Three Celtics going in the round

Surest thing that didn't happen: Lebron or Howard going #1

Number of players that ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY do not belong in this round for any reason: None.

My Round 1 Wrap Up:

I felt like picks 1-9 were all the right picks.  Then I didn't see any picks in 10-14 (amare, pau, kg, rondo, griffin) that I was particularly crazy about.  Then a few good value guys came in 15-17 (melo, aldridge, z-bo).  Manu was very interesting at 18, I'm not sure if I like or dislike that pick.  I found Love and Pierce to be reaches at their spots.  Then the round finished up with 4 guys who were all clearly worth first round selections.

The round went somewhat similar to what I expected to see in CB Draft.

I feel Westbrook at 23 is good value. Of course, I'm biased.

Solid wrap up, though I don't think Pierce or Love to be reaches. Where they were selected, not much else that was CLEARLY better.

I thought the first 16 picks were excellent. Only one quibble but overall excellent.

Nobody slipped (dang it!).

The next 8 picks, I thought teams were scrambling for whatever leftover talents were available. Nobody got anything great. No steals. Most of the picks were very good to excellent considering the talent still on the table.

Only 2-3 picks which I'd wonder about. I am looking forward to seeing how those teams go forward from here on out. The 2nd to 4th round selections will tell whether they were good picks or not.

Yeah, as crazy as it seems, I also think Dwight at 3 was maybe the best value pick.  #2 was guaranteed to at least get Dwight as an awesome consolation even if they did think Lebron is a clear better pick, so I wouldn't say they got too big of a steal.  But #3 was going to get what I think was a bit of a drop off from 1a and 1b Lebron and Dwight.

I think one of Love (leaning here), Manu, or Pierce is absolutely not a first round player b/c at least one undrafted player absolutely deserved to be drafted in the first round ahead of them.

If by "throw stones" you mean "have an opinion" then my mistake.  :P

I'd personally take picks 21-24 and an undrafted guy all over Pierce and Love.  But I guess they aren't definitively CLEARLY better.....  I just think they are.   :)
