I personally had Durant Ranked 3rd, but I thought there was a big gap between the top two and the third.
Yeah I had him tied for 3rd with another player, but the other two were ahead of him by a decent margin. Overall though you still can build a winner if you do well with the rest of the draft.

So many easy cut and paste arguments against Rondo/Nick's team forthcoming. It is going to be fun.

Haha we knew it would be tough, but at the same time, we couldnt justify against taking lebron and thought the stigma of passing on lebron and letting him fall to third would follow us through the draft.  I can picture the press conferences.

"Do you regret not taking lebron second"?

Little known fact: In LeBron's kingdom, his profile only appears on 3 out of every 4 quarters.

With the Durant pick, I'll be honest, it's going to take a lot of great selections for me to think you can win it all w/ him as your main cog.

He's one of those guys that I might have ranked as the 2nd best SF, but I think he'd have to slide a ways for me to consider him.

We plan on taking a beating but we didn't take LeBron with the first pick. He fell to us.

Nothing you can do. Every single one of you know you would have made the same choice at #2 if he was available.

Yes, my soul will be black and self loathing will be occurring as I argue LeBron's greatness but we had to do it.

I had him top 5 but as you said 2nd best SF needing significant company to make a run at it

Irrelevant to all of the points others will raise. Maybe if we grading "Best Draft", or best value "picks" that'd matter. When a player is drafted is less important than his game once we get done making teams.

It was the right pick to make, its just going to be interesting watching the two of you build a team in a completely different manner than your last efforts.

That is my view of Durant too. Top five and needs much more help around him than 3-4 other possible choices.

Trading takes two, were there offers that gave proper value?

In all fairness I built a team around a star last year, but never one of this quality

I don't think you are going to have any real problems building a top team around LeBron. Especially with this 24 team draft.

There will be some very good opportunities to put a lot of talent around him.

Looking forward to seeing what type of team you guys build.

wow 2 picks in and a team is going to have a hard time winning it all??? And SAC is already having to defend taking LeBron?!?

this year I'm pledging to reserve judgement... If anything last year taught us (reinforced really) that a TEAM wins, not whoever has the "#1 best player".
