I have never had it but according to some people who have it saps your energy for months ... long after it goes away.
I've had it, it sucks and did effect me for about a month after I was "healthy". And I wasn't doing anything taxing my body at all under my doctor's orders.

I've seen athletes not recover for a year.

The Pawnee Pacers select

Marc Gasol

There goes , IMO, the best center taken this round.

I like him the least. Nice post-season push aside, he's become overrated. Posted career lows in points per game, rebounds per game and field goal percentage.
I don't know what to make of Marc Gasol.

I thought his play dropped off in the regular season from the previous season to last year. Then he followed it up with an excellent showing in the playoffs.

I have no idea what his true, or regular / expected, level of play is. Confused.
Another worry, given that he dropped 50 lbs. after his rookie year I think Marc Gasol along with ______, and _______ are prime canidates for the big contract 30 pounds that Antoine Walker patented. (plus the lockout ouch!)

 ;)

I don't see why a 23 years old kid getting into better shape when he sees he has to against the competition he's up against means he's going to pack it all back on when he gets paid.

Thanks to those who gave a positive nod on Lopez ... didn't fancy another day of defending my pick, (though it had it's moments). ;)

I wanted to go with Bynum, but I was worried about the toll his injuries have taken, (he's still a great pick, though, Who).

Plus, we're crazy here today, and I'll be on-and-off throughout), (if I'm lucky).

Great bunch of bigs taken so far today, (excluding Nash) ... congrats to all!

That's what every owner says about every young player they sign  ;).

He (the unnamed) already had a huge contact, overcame a serious medical condition, and improved his game.

He's not on Bynum or Bogut's level I don't think, but he's a heck of a player.

There is nothing not to like about that pick. Maybe some toughness to add with Aldridge down low, but Granger was probably the BPA. Solid pick.

Best pick of the second round? He's gone from being overrated - how high did he go last draft? - to underrated. He needs to ween himself off the long twos and early threes but he's otherwise a player I like a lot.

Is the Bullets team slogan going to be "I don't think most people realize how good these players are."

Love both picks.
