Interesting useless fact:
How many German players played in the 2011 NBA Finals?

1?

How'd you get that?
Who's the only other German player in the NBA (that I'm aware of).

Did Finley start for the Spurs in '07?  He must have been pretty close.  Ahh I give up...
Finley was only 34 in the 2007 Finals

But he played like a 42 year old in Boston last year.  How can that be?
We all think we know more than we really do....

Four players aged 37 years or older have started on Championship teams.

Kareem, Kareem, Kidd were already mentioned.  The 4th is Karl Malone for the 04-05 Lakers I believe

or is it just championship teams?

Dennis Rodman?

Yes, Rodman was the fourth player.

I've checked Rodman, he was 36. No idea on who can be.

Rodman turned 37 early in the playoffs (May) during the Bulls final Championship run in 1998.

It was just Championship teams. So Karl didn't make it.

Okay, so the four players were:

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar -- 37 in 1985, 39 in 1987, 40 in 1988
Jason Kidd -- 38 years and 3 months this season, 2011.
David Robinson -- 37 years and 10 months in 2003
Dennis Rodman -- 37 years and 1 month in 1998

Well done everyone.

Sorry to post consecutive useless facts, but couldnt resist posting this one (stat).

Our old friend, Antoine Walker, holds the record for most 3 point field goal attempts in a game, without a make.

11 3pt FG's he attempted @ Philly, December 17 2001.

I dont know what is more shocking.  The fact he didnt make one, or that he only threw up 11.

During Shaq's tenure on the Lakers, Kobe neglected to pass it to Shaq a record 10,000 times

There are only 2 players officially listed as 6'0" to ever make an All-NBA first team.
