Reggie Jackson canceled all of his workouts. Bulls, Pacers, Bobcats and Blazers all had him scheduled to come in.
confirms that Reggie Jackson cancelled all the workouts and interviews.  8) Hopefully a promise by the Celtics. Also If the Celtics don't pull the trigger, Chad Ford says on another Tweet

I don't KNOW where Reggie Jackson's going, but I would be shocked if he slides past the Heat at 31. Miami has loved him all year.
worst case scenario Reggie going to the heat. He won't slip past the Heat @ 31.

Awful news if that were to happen.  >:(

I'm confused. Is it being suggested that we draft an injured combo guard to keep him away from the heat, who pick #31 in a weak draft?

no that was my quote from 2 days ago. Chad Ford reaffirmed what i was thinking. He thinks Miami Heat will most def use #31 on him; If Reggie Jackson slips past the Celtics.

Well, sure, let Miami take him.

Danny, please draft well.

We don't need him... He won't get run. We need a guy who can contribute like Coyrtney Lee a few years ago or a project Big. We actually need a big, I want Jeremy Tyler or trade this pick to move up for Marshon Brooks.

I think he is going to the Rockets.  Just comes across as the kind of player Morey would target.

Where there is smoke there is fire... sure does sound like he is Boston-bound.

I remember the year that Rondo was drafted, there was all kinds of chatter about Ainge being in love with him and angling to get him.  Ultimately, he pulled the trade with Phoenix to make it happen.

I trust Ainge's instincts. I don't think there is any way in the world he makes a guarantee unless he feels strongly a player has a chance at greatness.  RJ certainly has lots of qualities that could put him near the top of this class.  I see him as a potential Dwayne Wade-type player... similar size (though perhaps even longer, in terms of wingspan), with an ability to get to the hoop.

The real question, again if this is true, is what kind of player he sees him being.  Is he a two-guard he grooms to replace Allen or is he a point guard to repalce Rondo, who could be shopped for a proven big man (Al Jefferson, anyone?)

I kind of like the idea of pairing him with Rondo in the back court.  They could be scary good defensively together eventually and the fast breaks would be electric.

Everyone putting Jackson down is basing this on low projections on "expert" mock drafts.  But those projections are artificially low because Jackson skipped the combine and has not worked out with anyone.  I'd be very excited about this pick.

Well, if you believe Ford, the "Smoke" is that he is NOT Boston bound.  And, if the choice is between believing Ford and Amick, I go with Ford, who has been clued in to the C's draft picks more than anyone else in the past.

Ford said quite clearly that he does NOT know where Jackson is going (see tweet above).  However, there have been many other reports that Boston is in fact the team.

From another tweet...

@chadfordinsider He doesn't have a promise to Celtics or Nets as has been rumored according to sources on both teams.

I trust Ford's sources with the C's.  They use him to get false info out there, but in the past have not outright lied to him about something like this.  So, I believe that the C's have not promised Jackson, which means someone else has.

I would to keep Reggie Jackson away from the Heat. Celtics most definitely wll use #25 to pick a PF/C. And that would mean Reggie Jackson is still on the board (according to most mock drafts). The next team that has a need for a PG is Miami. My worst nightmare comes to fruition. Because I have a sneaking suspicion if the Celtics didn't have a dire need upfront, they would draft Reggie Jackson albeit he is available @25.
Awful news if that were to happen.  >:(

I don't think that whoever the Heat get with the 31st pick will make a big impact on their team, just like they probably aren't worried about Danny taking someone at 25 that will tilt the balance of power.

We're hearing Reggie Jackson rumor is legitimate and very good chance that it's OKC that has given him a promise at 24

Also, is Jackson that much better than Chalmers?

Not as good a shooter but a much better athlete. The draft that Chalmers came out in was much better however.

So Amick was right that he won't get by the Celtics, because OKC is going to draft him the pick before.
