Bosh has gained points from me. He didn't engage in the nonsensical stuff wade and james did much of the season and postseason. he didn't make excuses. he clearly took the loss hard - i made fun of him crying, but in retrospect, i would rather have guys in pain over losing than guys who say the loss meant god didn't think it was their time to win. granted, bosh is soft, and bosh has never had the kind of pressure the other 2 have, but bosh carried himself in a way neither of them seem capable of.

It was obvious that Wade and James cared that they lost.  They were just overplaying their excuses to deflect harder questions.

On the other hand, maybe their statements that "God didn't think it was their time to win" means they have some perspective on life when it comes to winning and losing.

Either way, I'm sure they felt pretty horrible when they woke up this morning.

Of course Bosh is going to look good next to Lebron and Wade. Especially if you cry and collapse in the hallway. Big time brownie points

Considering he looked like a better player in Toronto...

Bosh is not the center piece of a team.

He is not the issue in Miami.

By "looking good next to Lebron and Wade" I meant responding to criticism, owning up to mistakes etc. If you put a press conference of Lebron and Wade next to just about any other NBA player and X player will look good next to those guys

I'm sure they all wanted it equally, but Bosh showed himself to be more mature than the other two, no big surprise.  He seems like a good guy and is not on the same arrogant plane as Lebrade...
Yet he was barking roaring and screaming the loudest at their stupid parade. It serves him well.

He also had the best series, overall, of the fig 3, based upon expectations at least.  He realized he was pretty much a garbage man, and did a good job of picking his spots. Lebron still looks like a deer in headlights.

I like Bosh and gained a lot of respect for him when he played in he finals. He was to me the most mature out of the three and didn't engage in petty drama like his buddies. He seems like that friend who's always left out of things like Wade and LeBron are close, but they're distant towards Bosh. He seems like he red headed step child in that three.
And yea I laughed hard when he cried, but to me he actually wanted to win and seemed to care. LeBron didn't and Wade was neutral about it.
Also LeBron seems like a follower and follows Wade a lot like you could tell he waits for his approval or something. For example, when the reporter asked about the choking, he looked at Wade and he answered the question. I don't know if people felt the same way, but it just seems like he follows Wade.

I don't know, I get the feeling that Lebron does not NEED to win deep down, like some players do.

Jordan, Bird, Magic - those guys lived and died to win. That was it.

Kobe is that way. KG is that way.

I actually think that some guys who didn't win - Iverson and Stockton, notably - had that drive too, but just couldn't get it done.

I put Lebron on a lower level. More like Barkley, or Webber, or Shaq. I think all of these guys want to win. But they don't need it. It's not an essential part of who they are.

LeBron can't even sniff Shaq's level.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

I kind of disagree. Barkley, Webber, and Shaq had the mentality that they will always win when they are on the court. Lebron doesn't have his brain wired 100% to that mentality.

Chris Bosh's mental characteristics are much better than he get credit for.

I agree.  If you see him in an interview, he's clearly very smart, and it doesn't bother me that he's sensitive.  During the allstar game, he picked up very well on the Cs style of play when he was in there with our guys, looking to make it easy for Rondo to get him the ball.  Bosh is the one I'd like to see on the Celtics.

So Bosh is the Stewart to Lebron and Dwyane's Beavis and Butthead?

That's what I got from him a bit last night. He said not one times he was gonna better and improve his weaknesses in his game like he should. Magic said that last night.

I'm willing to think that Bosh's mentality changed from last summer up until now.  I think he realized this season that he isn't as good as maybe he thought he was...not to say he isn't a good player, but he isn't in that upper, upper echelon of talent.  I think he became a bit humbled by this season.

I had no problem with him showing emotion last night...just showed he cared, even if it isn't considered the best manly expression.  If you think about it, however, even Jordan cried.  Albeit, he won the NBA Finals, but how come people think it is wrong for Bosh crying in a loss?  Besides different series outcomes for each respective individual, the circumstances are still relatively the same.  I'm willing to bet many people didn't down MJ for crying.  I don't see a problem with Bosh doing the same.  You could see the pain and emotion in his eyes, the way he carried himself in that post-game interview...he was beat up on the inside.  Definitely the most professional and class act of the 3, when it comes to how each conducts themself.  The other 2 guys are just overly cocky.  It's as if they are intentionally trying to come across as villains.  You'd never see MJ, Kobe Bryant, Larry Bird, KG, and many other greats walk into the arena and pull that coughing spectacle to make fun of another player.  They'd just do their talking on the court, drain a 3 pointer, or make a great play and talk their trash to or about the other player while on the court.  Lebron still has a lot to learn and Wade..I lost a lot of respect for him this year.  I thought he had a lot more class, but this year, after creating this super-team, his true colors really came out.  It's easy to talk crap when you have a good team, but you didn't see him talking all that stuff, having that I don't give a $%&^, lack of respect mentality nearly as much when MIA was a weak team the last few seasons.  Typical human nature.
