When Mike Dunleavy was fired, he was in the fourth year of a five year contract that was worth 22 million dollars. At the time of the firing, Dunleavy was owed 6.75 million dollars. The 13 million total includes that 6.75 million, along with past compensation with interest, as well as future compensation, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Good.  Sterling is such an idiot.  He should have just paid off the remainder of the contract, but instead he takes the position that he's going to make employees take him to court.  He got burned this time.

It's really a shame the league can't force owners like Sterling to sell their franchise to somebody more deserving.
