  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
He's been on the books for a year now.
Hasn't had much opportunity because of the number 1 PG on our team.

It's obvious that Rondo needs a backup and that Delonte can probably cover Ray as the 2 guard (fingers crossed for injuries +i'd like a better scoring 2 guard AS WELL on the bench).

Will they keep Arroyo or will they make this AB's coming out year?
He's had a year of practices and a few minutes plus another training camp.
This guy was the number 1 ranked high school player 2 years ago and he seems like the 'injection of youth' that we need/talk about- great thing is he's already sitting on our bench and knows all our plays.

Part of me thinks he will get a huge jump in playing time because they'll want to increase his stock value for important trades.
Here's a little reminder of this kids athleticism...

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Well lets see we had Erden, Luke, and Bradley as rookies. Only one stands now because I feel Danny likes something about him. Otherwise he could have been dumped somewhere else.

I want to see him play spot minutes more for Rondo and have Ray or Pierce out there. That way this kid can split threw defenses and show his true potential. I don't know much about him but I would like to see Doc give this kid a chance.

Possibly. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't until later. He's got bad handles for a PG and is behind on his point guard training. His defense is superb though. If he doesn't this year, he will definitely in one or two years. With Doc here, Avery will experience a lot of growth.

For those who wanted Derrick Rose or Russell Westbrook on the team, if Avery reaches his potential, he'll be like them, except with a lot better defense.

A lot will lie on this Summer's training for Avery and the Celtics. A lot.

Yes he will, simple reason is training camp which is very important. if avery wasnt hurt im sure he would of had alot more PT as the off guard. but him bringing up ball made me nervous every time i watched. if he could work on his ball handeling he be perfect and will earn himself alot more PT

He hasn't had much opportunity because he was god-awful. Otherwise, there were plenty of minutes available in the guard rotation this season.

I was at this game and am in this video package every time there is a highlight play going towards the C's bench I am 3 rows back and to the left of the screen.

With that said...who knows.  Depends on what he is doing this summer.  The video proves nothing because he was playing against scrubs in a pretty meaningless game.

I think I remember Troy Murphy playing well in this game too, so take these highlights with a grain of salt.

I feel like if he can improve his ball handling he is ready to get some decent minutes off the bench. Otherwise he is probobly having a similar season and coming out next year

Nope -- too much work to do. Bradley is at least another year away from having a breakout campaign.

Plus, playing behind Rajon Rondo is going to limit his playing time considerably which will also slow down his development.

at this point he has a foot in the nba due to defense and promise
it'll look like a breakout because last year he looked like a kid in a mans game

a backcourt of rondo & bradley is nice to think about (defensively)

Doubtful. I don't see him breaking out as a PG on this team soon. Chances are better at the 2 with Delonte or whoever in the backcourt. If he makes it to regular rotation player this year it'll be a success in my books.

I was also at the last NY game, free from his early season injuries avery looked like a different player. Next year wont be a break out season for him but i expect him to get some minutes and be an asset (especially on D).

Will this be Avery Bradley's breakout year?

No

I'm thinking 12-13 season will be it. Also, a potential lockout doesn't help for someone that is still so raw.

I don't see why he wouldn't be able to play at least a chunk of back up PG minutes. Is his PG handle really worse than a guy like Eddie House? He's not the offensive threat of Eddie but he I think his defense makes up for it.

There's always a chance, but I doubt it.  Bradley is still incredibly raw, and is basically in the process of learning fundamentals most guys already have at this point.  While I don't think its out of the realm of possibility that he improves enough to be a usable player next year, I think he is still a couple years away from having any real impact (if he ever does).
