NO. Ain't gonna happen ever again with the Mediocre 3. DA must concern himself with rebuilding because there are too many teams out there that look promising. Rondo can be salvaged. The rest shopped.
This past season was absolutely pathetic with the 2 O's but I think DA didn't have any collateral left to barter with.

Special mention goes to Doc who is great only with a great team. he mismanaged the bench and wore out the starters again. Early last season I said I'd take the 6 or 7th spot. But no Doc played every season game with the starters like it was the 7th game of the Finals. Hoping he doesn't get a long contract.

Ah, I see what you did there. Reverse psychology. I like it. Also, Doc just signed for 5 years.

only if BBD isn't one of those keys and they add a scorer off the bench, a legit starting center that's durable and large PF that rebounds and plays with energy.

Yes.

Absolutely.

However, the chances of this team coming back 100% healthy and staying healthy (or at least being totally healthy come playoff time) is quite low.

I'm tired of thinking that way - I've been thinking that way the last 3 years and enough's enough - DANNY KEEP MAKING DEALS AND DO SOMETHING BECAUSE WHAT WE HAVE NOW IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH AND DOES NOT WORK.

The thing is, riding it out with the current group might also be our best plan for the future, as quick fixes could hinder our long term financial flexibility.

As much as I'd really like to say yes...no, I don't think so. But we're not far; all we need is a consistent, healthy C and a nice chemistry-inducing training camp. I mean, is that too much to ask for?

Here's the problem. It is impossible for all our key players to be healthy for a full season. It truly is. Im gonna say both JO and Shaq come back. Im going to say we lose Baby but not DW. So MY key players would be, in no order: Shaq, JO, KG, Green, PP, Ray, DW, Rondo. They would need every one of them to be glowingly healthy and we just have to know that is just impossible. But.......

Here is my dream: The season ends up being 42 games. I bet you see where this is going. We get and stay healthy. We go 36-6. There is no January, February, March swoon. We have hc. We get a big body in the draft who can play We get another big body with the mle.. Bradley improves. Green improves. Playoff Rondo shows up every night.

We destroy everybody.

Yes we can win with these guys and yes these guys can be healthy in a shortened 2011-2012 season. It was the plan all along...BWAAHAHAHA!

Yeah, a shortened season might work out great for our squad.  Bring everybody back in January and go for the greatest 42 game regular season record in history.  Then go get number 18.

SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas

Definitely ... Lockout = Shortened season = RIGHT UP OUR ALLEY ... plus Danny's got something up his sleeve ... I know it ... No way Doc signs a 5 year extension to go through the rebuilding transition again after the Big 3 era ... I don't care about all that "loyalty" HOOPLA ... And Shaq's gonna come back next year ... play half a season ... and make up for all the MALARKEY he put us through this season ... THIS SEASON LEFT A BAD TASTE IN BOSTON'S MOUTH AND THE BIG 3 ERA ISN'T GOING TO END LOSING A MISERABLE SERIES IN 5 GAMES TO THE MIAMI HEAT ... WE ARE NOT THE DETROIT PISTONS PEOPLE ... LET'S GO!
