Is it just a first round pick? Does it's placement depend on how the Clippers do next season? What if they do really well, are we screwed? Is there anyway we could end up having the top pick in the draft next year with it?

top 10 protected until 2015,unprotected in 2016.

my qustion is wether the clippers finish outside the bottom 10, and then they win the lottery do we get the pick looking at the regular season record or based on the lottery numbers ?

Its top 10 protected.  So we will not be getting a number 1 out of that pick.

"The pick is Top-10 protected, and will be the lower pick from either the Clippers or the Minnesota Timberwolves in that draft. The Clippers initially acquired the pick in a 2005 trade for Sam Cassell. The Thunder acquired the pick from the Clippers last year in exchange for the No. 18 pick in the 2010 draft. The Clippers used that pick on Eric Bledsoe."

I guess if they both get top 10 picks it gets bumped to 2013 and so on.  With how bad those two teams are it might be a while before we see that number 1.

I'd package it with BBD for some sign and trade talent now rather than who knows what a few years from now.

It looks like lottery numbers.
