Couldn't Austin pull a Kobe and refuse to play for any team but the Celtics?

Kobe? I remember him wanting to play in a big market but I don't think he had a preference for any particular team.

Yea he said he wanted to play for the Lakers and no one else. When he was drafted by Charlotte Hornets he refused to play unless he played in LA. They traded him to LA and the rest is Kobe Bean history.
