I love Kendrick and what he did for Boston......

But how in The World did he get mixed up in a thread about Bill Russell?

Just Wow.

So SO could showcase his comedic talents.

If I'd been drinking coffee, it'd be on my monitor by now. Well played, SO. TP awarded.

LOL!

StartOrien needs to talk to Chris Rock or one of the other popular comedians, then.

He has a bright future, seriously. :)

And I guess I could lighten up a bit. Some things come with time, I suppose. But I'm getting there.

Ha, thanks for the kind words. Mind sharing your thoughts w/ my supervisor at my current, extremely mundane job?  ;)

Wow....Perkins has become some sort of pariah on this blog. People who love the trade bring up his name unnecessarily at every chance they get (not basketball related) and then later complain about "Can we get over the trade already".

I just read the story and thought it was a good zing.

It wasn't personally directed at you. But saying stuff like "the trade haters can gather around and mourn the loss of Perk" in a thread meant to celebrate a legend is only going to cause an unnecessary debate....and then people complain about the negative tone on the blog. Both sides are guilty of contributing to the negativity.

I've drafted like 19 different ways of approaching this, but I can't come up with a more proper response than saying I 100% disagree with literally every sentence you just wrote.

The Perkins post was a joke.  Move on and get back on topic.

If you haven't read this article by Paul Flannery talking about why it is so important for Russell to have a statue you should.

I'd hyperlink it, but the built in Celticsblog censor takes out one of the words in the link. If you google "Paul Flannery Russell Statue" its the first thing that comes up.

That is all.

Bill Russel is the MAN.

Can he come back from retirement to take Shaq's spot?  ;D
