Certainly not good long-term in these playoffs, even if we manage to get past the Heat... more updates coming soon

Isn't that similar to what happened to Shaq?  Or did Shaq sprain his achilles?

In any case, it's terrible news.  Basically just means the Celtics are even more screwed than we originally thought.

Not good at all. I feel like someone has kicked me in the nuts tonight.

Well...it wasn't looking great, anyways.

We all knew it was a three year window going into it, right?

Probably similar to what happened to Shaq but Paul's a lot younger (sounds funny doesn't it) and is carrying a lot less weight on that frame... Just gotta hope these days off will do us some good... All we can do at this point

Yeah.  We got an extra year.  It may be a shorter playoff run this year than any of us hoped, but the team was in it all season and kept us entertained.  No reason to be disappointed with how this Big 3 era has gone.  When they write the history of the Pierce - Allen - Garnett era, though, they will say that it ended in the middle of the fourth quarter in game 2 against the Heat.  That 17-4 run ended the game and most likely put a dagger in the Celtics' last season of true relevance.

Yeah, I HATE that it came to an end against LeBron James...but Miami is going to be a force to be wreckoned with for years to come.

Tonight may have very well have been a passing of the torch.  It's a new generation in the Eastern Conference

I don't look to twitter for injury news.

I will wait to hear from Ainge on Thursday.
