The Heat could not beat the Celtics when they could roll out the beef.   The inside was closed to them.  Celtics could score low easily.  They were forced to play big.

Now that the Celtics are missing beef, different story.  The inside is not always closed.  The Celtics are not scoring easily down low.  They are now making the Celtics play small.

Come back soon Shaq.

Yeah, we're missing Shaq, and don't have much of an interior presence at all.

Were we given an explanation for why JO didn't see many minutes?  Baby was terrible in there.  JO can't fully replace Shaq (or that other 7 footer who used to be on our roster), but he defends the paint better than Baby.

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER... AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!

KP / Giannis / Turkuglu / Jrue / Curry

I was thinking the same thing where is our post game?!

And not talking about press conference either

Get on that darn block KG went to the post a couple possessions to start, converted the second I think then never went back to it.

i herd doc say something like he was trying to catch up and create more space having glen out there more & he even admitted saying he shouldnt had kept j.o out so lont

but question for doc glen dosent spread the floor more than ummm JEFF GREEN NOW DOES HE? i seriosuly dont know why jeff dosent play with the starters especially with joel anthony in there he has no offence and jeff can take that mismatch on the offensive end i keep waiting & waiting & waiting for the this lineup =/

Because the Celtics can't afford to give up the rebounding that they would lose.  Joel is a good rebounder.  Green is a bad rebounder.

Here's how I look at it, and hopefully I get a TP for it.

Doc said, "We can't out run these guys, we need to play basketball better than then, they are more athletic, we need to play basketball bettter." Something down those lines.

Playing smallball with the heat, whether it be with green, bbd, delonte, that is trying to out run them. I believe we need Shaq back, even though we can win without him. Get JO more minutes and BBD less, please

3-0 with the beef.

0-3 without beef.

The Celtics had the right idea in the offseason.  Load up on beef.  (they were not the only team to do it)

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Absolutely right Wdleehi.

The heat aren't giving up anything easy, practically everything at the rim is contested. It doesn't help that half our guys don't seem willing to take contact.

We definitely need Shaq back.

I think this is part of the story, but you are assuming that the Heat have played the same throughout the season, and the only that has changed is on the Celtics side.

This is not the case.

The Heat have improved throughout the season - they have done a good job gelling together - and this is independent of anything going on with the Celtics.
Celtics fan for life.

Celtics can not control what the Heat do.

But, they created issues for the Heat when they had beef out there.
