Love Baby, but does anyone else think that Big Baby has forgotten his role? I hope Doc sits down with Jeff Green and Big Baby to clarify their respective roles on offense. They are confused. Since the Perkins trade Big Baby has become the go-to guy for the 2nd unit, and he is failing at it. He gets blocked or forces up bad shots. He usually has a mismatch that favors the other team. He is not successful at backing down his defender (makes me cringe) or creating his own shot in half court- but that is what he is doing. He is effective at wide open 12 footers and driving when the defense is scrambling. Unfortunaelty, the second unit runs down the shot clock and looks to Big Baby to create. Jeff Green was brought in because he is quick as a 4 and big as a 3. His mismatch is in the Celtics' favor, but he is too timid. Doc needs to make it clear that Green is the go-to guy for the 2nd unit or even the Heat's bench will outplay the Celtics bench. You can tell by Green's body langauge he is uncomfortable contolling the action. I hope he gets over it soon.

Baby gets at of slack around here. Who is better off the bench? Don't tell me Jeff Green cus he sucks. Celtics should make Green strictly a spotup shooters. Worthless player.

Baby must play within his role. When he does, he's a 6th man of the year candidate. When he stops hustling, he's a less talented Antoine Walker.

Jeff Green is not playing great, he looks lost, but he's a more talented player than Baby. He should be the first option on offense, followed by the inside-out game by DWest and Baby.

The second unit really does not have a go-to guy. It should be whoever is hot when the unit is on the floor.

For one reason or another, I think we need to shorten the rotation to 8 until Shaq comes back.

The only guys I want to see off the bench are Green, BBD, and Delonte.

Doc needs to find a way to work all these guys in. Obviously without Shaq we would have to play small between quarters, but Miami doesn't play with size anyway,

If he was used as a spot up shooter he wouldnt be worthless.
Instead Doc has him uselessy trapped in the corner.
Jeff showed in the 4th quarter that he can score.
BBD showed up he can't rebound nor defend on the weakside. He also showed up he shouldnt be closing the game.

That is pretty much all that played off the bench today. Krstic played 2 minutes.

baby hustles and gets rebounds. the effort is all there and he will eventually have a good game that will help the C's win. Green will never take that role. doc's not stupid he knows jeff green can do things baby can't. but green is soft and afraid and in a big stage like the playoffs he becomes more useless than ever. please stop blaming others for not getting him involved, when hes done nothing to show he can be depended on.

I totally agree. Nww Jeff Green has to step up. With the right mindset, he shoot be a handful for the other team to defend. While I don't want to compare Green to Pierce, there was a similar problem with Pierce deferring to Antwoine, and Danny took care of that. This is not the same, but Green needs an improved mindset, and maybe the vets should push him to be the man of the second unit.

Whole bench stinks.

Honestly guys I hate to say this, but the bench has been this bad ever since the trade.

We keep hoping that they will magically start showing up but it's looking less and less likely every day.

We got away with a bad bench against NY because they are terrible, but we can't keep getting away with it.

If bench don't show up I don't think we even win this series.

Haha TP.

Unless BBD singlehandedly saves us in the playoffs and helps us win a title I want him gone from Boston next year.

I can't believe I'm saying this, I usually  love BBD, but he's been atrocious lately.
