The three stars in New York played the position of point guard, small forward and power forward. Rondo can play 40+ minutes and Billups was injured so the bench didn't have to deal with playing him. Baby and KG were able to hold Stoudemire. Pierce and Ray shared time on Carmello. That left less than 10 minutes for Delonte mainly to back up Rondo/Ray and 15 min for Green to back up Pierce/Ray.
The three stars in Miami play the same position as the Big 3. It is logical to assume that the stars in Miami will play around 45 min a game against Boston. Ideally we'd like to keep Ray and Paul's minutes down to 35 but they would probably be around 38 min each.
KG and Baby will be able to handle Bosh the same way they did Stoudemire. However, there would be 10 minutes where Ray and Paul will not be on the floor and another 10 where Rondo will be resting. This leaves a combined 30 min to be divided between Green and West. If we go small with KG at the 5 and Jeff Green at the 4 when Miami goes small, this would increase the total time to 35-40 minutes.
Jeff Green will average 20 min in this series, and Delonte will average 15-20 min. This means they have to step up their game from how they played in New York. I'm looking forward to see how they will do.

I don't like Delonte at all. Rondo is our key player, and Delonte just can not replace him on the same level. When Rondo is in the problem then the whole team is. And i dont want to see points from Delonte, i want assists, and i haven't seen them at all....

Foul trouble is going to change your idea of who is playing how many minutes.

I do think Miami will play their big horses at least 42 minutes if they are not in foul trouble.

I'm very uncomfy with Green and Delonte all of sudden being so important, but we have to use what we have.

We have a very deep bench the problem is we only get to play 5 players and all those serviceable players may not mean a hill of manure in this series.

We are built to contend with the Lakers, but not so much with the Heat.

45 minutes for each of their big three is a lot, but I'd still expect to see them play 40+ each.

Huge issues when the C's go to the bench. Joel Anthony and Big Z will be terrors on the offensive boards when KG's on the bench. And Delonte has to take care of the ball when he's at the point. Nothing gets the Heat going like careless turnovers that let them run.

Baby must out work anthony to loose balls...rebounds....west has to score a bit more....and this is why Jeff green was brought in. This series right here

We have to live with our bench. Delonte has to shoot more instead of dribbling away precious time. Given equal time no one in the League has the quality of our starting 5. If the bench doesn't give it away and wear down out starters we'll beat the Heat. It's time to put up or shut with the Media and the Miami Heat love affair. Media always thought Boston as second class citizens.

James will need 4 Super Human performances to beat us. I give him 2 that's why we beat them.

i think we'll see quite a bit of delonte playing alongside rondo simply because after ray allen, we have no one else to match up with dwade. green and pierce are not quick enough and rivers is still hesitant to put wafer in a game.

if krstic shows some of that grit he had in game 4 against the knicks, he maybe quicker (didnt think that was possible) than big Z or joel anthony to the ball.

When Delonte is playing well, he is an absolute asset to have. He can score the rock when he is confident, and has solid eyes. Plus, he is an above average defender against PGs and undersized 2's.

Not to mention, Delonte has been 2nd options on championship-caliber teams.

vs the Heat, this season, 4 games, Baby 10.3PPG, 6.3RPG, 50% FG, 28MPG. 3-11 from the field in the last game.

West played just the last game and had 3 A, 1 TO in 18 min

Wafer had 10 points in just 13 min in Feb. He didn't play the other games.

Shaq had 2 decent games vs the Heat with 14 pts, 14 Reb in 39 minutes

Going by the names and talent alone, this is the bench we ever had.

There is absolutely no reason our bench shouldn't step up each and every game. We actually have weapons. Whether it's BBD, Green, West or Shaq/JO, we have game-changers.

These guys need to get their act together. They are good, but aren't showing it.

I don't think that will last. These guys can and should expose the lack of depth of the Heat.
