Traditional Gown or Non-Traditional Gown?

Discuss.

In her case, nothing would be ideal

Keep your filth out of here! This is a place for fellow Celtics fans to discuss the style of dress the soon to be Princess will be wearing.

I say updated-classic style. Classy, but w/  sense of style.

Agree/Disagree

I am hoping she sells sponsorships for her dress to help pay for the wedding.

How much do you think an ad on the dress is worth?  Location matters.

If we all pitch in a few nickels we could probably get some prime visibility for one of these puppies:

Probably REALLY upset some irishmen though.

Ha, thanks, though I actually hate it and think about changing it everytime I sign in. It was an uninventive ripoff of a post Jeff made when we had to re/create our usernames for CelticsBlog 2.0 quite a few years back.

This should be fine.

I'm lazy. Can someone tell me what the Royal families' duties are these days? I never really followed them. Are they involved with governing anything? I have no idea what they actually do.

Officially they rule the empire but they are limited to non-partisan functions according to the constitution, pretty much relinquishing power to the parliament.

However famously the former Prime Minister of Australia Gough Whitlam was dismissed by the Governor-General of Australia (Royal family's representative in  Australia) while in office.

I have to admit, the ceremony was nice.  It looked like something out of a Narnia novel and the grandeur was similar to that of the wedding in Lord of the Rings.  It was really very nice and I hope the couple does well.

I could do without all the hoopla and the TV coverage though.

didn't think i did, but watched them on the balcony this morning, and it brought back memories of Lady Di, and I shed a tear.  Shame she was not there to witness her son's wedding.

When I woke up this morning, my husband was watching Imus who had the wedding in the background.  I sort of saw the exchange of vows...interrupted frequently by jokes from Imus's sidekicks.  Not cool.  The bride was beautiful and looked confident.  I hope they have a good life.
