Agreed that he's too tentative. West possesses a solid outside shot ... which I haven't seen him attempt in a while. He had some clutch rebounds and good hustle plays but looks pretty confused running the offense. We're going to need his outside (3 point) shot on nights when Ray (and maybe PP) are off.

I think he's still favoring that wrist that he injured a month or two ago. I read somewhere that he will need surgery on it in the offseason.

If I'm right, I'm glad he put it off. I'd rather have 65-70% of Delonte than no Delonte right now.

But he is clearly not himself offensively...he is hustling on defense, though.

He shouldn't have picked up that weird tech yesterday, but hey we won so it's all good.

Hopefully this week or so off will give him (and Shaq :)) opporunity to heal some more.

Saving his energy for when LeBron's mom is watching.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Delonte is obviously playing on an injured ankle.  The time off will help him heal properly.  However, 14 minutes a game passing the ball to others has been his main role so far offensively.  He is giving effort defensively and doing pretty well for the most part.

52 minutes - 3-11 FG - 0-4 3P - 8 boards - 5 assists - 2 turnovers and 8 points.  Its not good, but playing sporadically as the 4th option on the 2nd team, this isn't too bad.  I think the main thing with Delonte is that he only had 2 turnovers in 52 minutes. He is holding down the fort, playing with inferior playing.

To be honest, I expect more out of Delonte, but he is just being the facilitator and not much else.  I still think there will be one game where we will be like... I'm glad we have him.  It just wasn't in round 1.

It's a good thing to have swept a series and to know that some of the players haven't shown up yet.  Delonte will.

I thought I saw him playing... oh wait ;D

No really though, he will be back and ready to go next series. I think he is our best 6th man, even more than Baby.

What I've seen of 'Lonte has been solid. This is mainly game 4 in the series, and really, while he didn't stuff the stat sheet, he did have a good game, and was VERY active on both D and O.

Loved seeing him play. He's like a tiny spider, really quick and has amazing ballhandling skills. Was really impressed.

However, he hasn't got much to work with, does he? Bloody bench mucking things up all the time...

  • Another undersized Celtic...
DWest won't be AWOL for long as long as LeBron's Mom shows up at the road games.

I must've been on crack while I was posting that.

Either that, or I was listening to my girlfriend and attempting to type at the same time. I promise you it will never ever happen sure I'll take out the garbage.

Mr Dribble has lost his way and has to get back to getting things moving faster.
